This chapter is really short... But necessary. Please comment! I would really like to know what you think, even though the story is barely started. Meh. So yeah, here's Chapter Four...

*Chris's POV*
"Three... Two... One..." I counted down the seconds to 6:30, the time when the Lannings would be over to pick me up and take me to the airport. I was sitting ontop of my luggage on my front porch, waiting for Mrs. Lanning's Prius. The front door was locked now. My family and I had already said our goodbyes- we had agreed that I would return to Idaho once school ended.
Tires screeched on the driveway, and the car pulled up. I eagerly jumped up and ran over to the Prius, dragging my two heavy suitcases and a small duffel bag. Mrs. Lanning stuck her head out of the window and called to me.
"Just throw your luggage in the hatchback, okay?"
I nodded, slammed the trunk, and slid into the back seat next to Alice. She grinned at me.
"Excited?"
"Yeah," I breathed. We were quiet during the car ride to the airport. Alice's parents were discussing the quickest way to get from the Seatac Airport to our hotel. Three hours later, we were on the plane.

"Hey, sleeping beauty, wake up!" I poked Alice's cheek. The pilot had just announced that we would be beginning our descent into Seattle in ten munutes, and Alice had decided to take a nap during the short flight. Alice groaned.
"Five more minutes," she mumbled, batting half-heartedly at my hand.
"Alice! We're almost there! You don't want to miss this!" I pointed out the airplane window. The city lights were now visible through the break in the clouds.
"Huh?" Alice yawned sleepily and rubbed her eyes. "Oh!" She suddenly became awake as she looked out through the window. The plane had started descending, and the lights were growing larger and brighter.
"We're here!" Alice whispered, her eyes shining. I smiled. Hello, new life, I thought.
I promise not to screw you up.
