Chan's POV:

I was on my way to work when I received a message from my little baby. I opened it and started reading what she sent. She had written a whole paragraph just to wish me a happy birthday. She was the only one who knew about it. I raised my daughter, Ryujin, all by myself. I had given her everything I had, except for the love and care from her mother. She always asked where her mom was, but I never dared to tell her that her mother had left a long time ago.

I washed away my sadness and read my beloved little princess's letter. It immediately changed my mood. As I looked up and gazed out of the window, my eyes caught sight of a girl who seemed lost in daydreaming about something. She was smiling widely until the car speakers brought her back to reality, which startled her and made her look incredibly cute.

I can't say she is very beautiful or anything like that, but she caught my attention. Her cuteness made her attractive to me. The way her face turned red when she was shocked showed that you could read her feelings on her face. Her chubby cheeks made me want to touch and squeeze them. I think I've got my eyes on her.

Y/n's POV:

"Where did you meet this guy?" Jeongin asked me with mixed feelings evident on his face.

"Oh, he's just someone from my dad's records," I answered with confusion. "Why? Is there a problem?" I asked.

"Well, Y/n, I don't think it would be good for both of us if we stay involved in this case," he replied in a slightly louder voice than a whisper.

"Why do you know anything about him?" I asked while lowering my voice.

"Of course, I know him. He is the most well-known person in the mafia world," he answered me.

"What?" It just slipped out of my mouth; I was really shocked.

"Of course he is! Girl, you don't know how close we are. Bro, don't tell anyone; I'm telling you because I trust you with my life. He never allows anyone close to him; once you're close, there's no going back," he said.

"Jeongin, are you sure it's about Chan?" I asked skeptically. He simply nodded.

"I saw him today; he looks absolutely different," I mumbled.

"Girl, did you see Chan alone?" he asked curiously.

"There were so many black cars at the back; his guards, I guess," I answered.

"Yeah, they are," he confirmed.

It has been over 30 minutes since saying goodbye to Jeongin now. I think I have to try finding some evidence about Chan as he told me it won't be easy to enter his life easily. Maybe Jeongin can help me with this task too since he mentioned having one daughter whom no one knows about to avoid using her as his weakness—she is his only weakness after all.
I have to find a way into that house; everyone has been talking about his new case lately, and if he is indeed that dangerous person they claim him to be, he will do anything to cover his sins.
