Chapter9

INAYAH's POV;
Husnah and I were seated in the car waiting for Muhsin who was taking forever to come out of the house, we were going to the cinema which I was against but Husnah and Muhsin made plans to watch Barbie you can tell who picked the movie and forced me to go with them. I haven't really been in the mood to go out for a while, I've just been paranoid. It's been almost a 2weeks since Muhsin's mum came and we haven't heard from her. I feel like this is just the calm before the storm. It's weird I know but my instinct is never wrong.
"I'm here, I'm here don't cry baby" Muhsin said as he got into the car
"What took you so long" I whined
"I just got back from work I had to shower at least"
"But you said and I quote I'm just going to change this shirt and I'll be down in a minute and that was like 20minutes after we had lunch"
"You are exaggerating it was just a few minutes" he turned and looked at husnah "how long was it husnah"

"It was just 2 minutes or so, You know Yaya is always impatient" they both laughed

"Let's just go both of you are insufferable"
"Alright M'lady"
We arrived at the cinema after a stop for mint chocolate chip ice cream. I've always loved mint chocolate chip ice cream everyone says I am obsessed with it.
"Now that your craving has been satisfied let's watch Barbie please" Husnah said as we walked into the cinema hall.
"I have no problem with what we watch as long as I have my mint ice cream"
"I hope you don't give birth to mint ice cream, yaya" husnah said
"What if I do?" I asked
"Then you will definitely eat your ice cream baby" Muhsin answered and they started laughing.
"Ha ha very funny" I rolled my eyes at them.
We sat on our seats and the movie began. I must say I judged this movie wrongly, it's not that bad. Not the most amazing movie in the world as Husnah depicted it but not bad also like a six out of ten.
After the movie we went back to the ice cream shop and I got another mint chocolate chip ice cream, Husnah got Oreo flavor and Muhsin got vanilla boring, I know.
We got back home and Muhsin went back  to the office to get some files, He was just informed that he had an emergency meeting in Dubai so he left to pick up some files while I packed his bags, he was leaving early in the morning.
I was sitted on the floor in our room sorting out his clothes when he got back

"Baby! You didn't have to I would have done it myself you know I don't like stressing you"

"You've had a long day and you have to wake up early tomorrow this is the least I could do for you"
He bent beside me and kissed my cheek "I love you"
I smiled widely " I love you too"
"Mama called when I was in the office she wanted to see us, i don't have a good feeling about that" he informed me
"What did you tell her?" I asked already feeling anxious
"I told her I was traveling and that we will come when I get back"
"And she was fine with that?"
"Ohh yes she said I should take my time she is not in a hurry"
"Something is up Muhsin and I hope it is not something bad"
"Why don't you join me on this trip then, whatever it is we will face it when we get back"
"What about Husnah I can't just leave her here she has school and it's short notice"
"Husnah could come with us if that makes you happy, it's just a week and they just resumed she wouldn't miss much and she wouldn't mind" he stated
"Okay then let me tell her and pack my bags"
