“See you soon Brigit!”
Niall came out and hugged me goodbye before I left.
“Yeah, cya Niall.” I laughed and hugged him back before he went into the kitchen.
“I’m glad you had a good day.” Louis smiled and winked at me. “Are you sure you don’t want me to walk you home?” He offered.
“It’s been amazing! And yes, I’m positive. I’ll be fine walking on my own.” He kissed me gently on the cheek, then waved me off as I walked out the front door.
Oh my God.
He just kissed me.
THE Louis Tomlinson actually kissed me.
Once the butterflies in my stomach had calmed down, I took in a deep breathe and started to move my legs again. They felt like jelly. Louis, what are you doing to me?
*Fast Forward 30 minutes *
I unlocked the door and stepped into the empty house. I hated when it was like this: cold and dark. I walked over to the fridge, suddenly feeling really hungry. But before I opened it up, I noticed a note by the kitchen sink.
“Sorry, forgot to go shopping! I’m sure you’ll manage. Mum x” The piece of paper read.
“You’re a useless Mum.” I muttered as I scrunched up the note and threw it in the bin.
So there was no food in the house, guess I’ll have to go and get a take-away. I ran up to my room and got out the money I kept in my coat pocket. £15. That should be enough. It was slightly colder now so I grabbed my brown cardigan before I skipped downstairs and made my way up the road, locking the door behind me. I ended up in Pizza Hut, buying a small pepperoni pizza. Hopefully this would satisfy my growling stomach.
The pizza was still warm by the time I got home, the sky was much darker now so I assumed my parents would be home soon. I brought the food through to the dining room, flipping on lights as I went, and sat myself at the table. Mmm, the pizza was heaven!
I went back into the kitchen and threw away the box.
“We’re home!” I heard my parents call through from the hallway. I glanced at the clock: 12:37.
I stormed into the hall where they were removing their coats.
“Ew, the house smells revolting!” My mum gasped.
“Yeah, that’s the pizza I just bought, because SOMEONE forgot to go shopping!” I snapped back at her.
“Don’t talk to me like that young lady. You know I’ve been very busy at work lately.” She replied, keeping her voice calm.
“Work, Work, Work. Why is everything always about WORK?! Am I not important?” I shouted.
“Of course you are darling, you’re my daughter.” She came over and put her hand on my shoulder. I shrugged it off.
“Yeah? Well it doesn’t feel like it.” I said emotionlessly. Then I picked up my handbag and walked out of the house, slamming the door behind me. I got my phone out of my bag and dialled Louis’ number.
“Hey Brigit, is everything ok?” He sounded tired.
“I’m sorry, could you come and pick me up please? I’m outside my house.” I was crying now.
“I’ll be there soon.” He hung up. I sat on the pavement and sobbed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard screeching as a car turned the corner of my road. It pulled up beside me and the driver got out. Louis.
“Brigit! What happened, babe?” He put his arms around me. I looked up to see he was wearing his onesie.
“I didn’t mean to wake you, I’m sorry. Everything’s such a mess, I’m so sorry.” I cried into his chest.
“Shh, you don’t have to apologise for anything!” He sounded concerned. "Look, it's late. You're coming back with me." He stated.
I couldn't understand why he was being so kind to me. We'd known each other, what, like three days? Maybe even less than that. Yet there was something about the way he held me that made my heart melt. He was so protective, but fun and crazy at the same time. I couldn't be falling for him, could I?
"Are you sure?" I really didn't want to intrude. I wasn't sure how the other boys' would react to me staying over the night.
"I've never been so sure of anything in my life." He answered seriously. I looked deep into his eyes, they showed nothing but honesty... and maybe another emotion that I couldn't quite recognise.
"Thank you." I smiled.
He returned the gesture, taking me by the hand and lifting me to my feet.
"You're more than welcome."
We both climbed into his car and drove away from the place I once called 'home'.
