Rejected and broken.

Chapter 14

I was in a beautiful meadow, it had my favourite flowers which were red  roses, the water was so clean and so beautiful, the moon was shining brightly reflecting in the water…A woman appeared her skin was pale,she had a lovely body and her hair was black and very long,she looked so beautiful that I couldn't help but feel inferior and strangely enough I felt like I could trust her.

"Moon Goddess?" I asked because that was the first thing that came to mind.

"Yes my daughter it is I" her voice sounded so beautiful

"Uhm what brings you here?" gosh I felt so stupid right now

"My daughter you are in great danger"

"But we defeated the rogues" I felt confused

"No, my daughter you are the chosen one and there a people who will stop at nothing to kill you. Do not trust so easily and I gave you McKenzie as your true mate not Wes."

"Then Goddess why did you give me Wes?"

She laughed in her angelic voice "I did not give Wes to you, other forces gave him to you. I chose McKenzie for a reason. Many obstacles will be thrown your way, Stay strong and don't let the enemy see your weakness. I love you my daughter"

I woke up immediately what did she mean Wes was given to me by other forces? I realized he wasn't in bed with me…where had he gone?

I took a hot shower, I needed to relax and think properly, hot water always calmed me down. I walked out of the shower and went into my walk in closest, I decided to wear a blue t-shirt written pink and a pair of dark jeans.

I heard some growling downstairs and ran there thinking it was the rogues but when I got there it was Wes and McKenzie, they looked like they were ready to kill each other.

"Hey!" I yelled

"What?" they both replied at the same time still glaring at each other.

"What's going on here?"

Wes looked at me " This ass here still thinks your his but we both know you belong to me."

"Okay first of all I'm a person not an item so none of you possess me and McKenzie grow up…you rejected me" It strangely hurt to say that.

"Bella tell me this…did the Moon Goddess come to you last night?" McKenzie asked.

"Uhm what's it to you?" how did he know that?

"I know she came to you cause she came to me aswell…will you or shall I tell Wes the lovely news?" why was he being such an ass?!

"Not now McKenzie…please" no matter how angry I was I couldn't let Wes find out…not now anyway.

"No Bella he needs to know that I am your TRUE mate and that the Moon Goddess gave me to you ONLY."
The look on Wes's face broke my heart…he looked so…so defeated.

"Wes-"

"Bella is this true?" Wes's voice was just a whisper now.

"Yes…and I-I'm so sorry, I don't know what the Moon Goddess was thinking but we can make it work Wes I know we can"

"No Bella we can't" Wes said sounding angry.

"Wes please…I love you and I see you as my mate" I pleaded

"Tell me you don't feel something for him…look at me in the eye and say it" Wes demanded.

"Wes… I-I " I couldn't lie to him, it was true I still felt something for McKenzie but it wasn't my fault.
Wes left immediately and McKenzie had a smug look but it disappeared the moment he saw me…

"How could you? Do you hate me that much? I knew you loved Kayla but I did nothing to separate you two but you…you ruin everything for me, why McKenzie? I'm not fit enough to be Luna so let me be happy at least…is it too much to ask?" I couldn't hold back the tears anymore…they just kept falling.

"Bella" he said taking a step closer

"No McKenzie" I said taking a step back.

"I don't want you, you're unfit to be Luna of this pack, look at you…you're pathetic" I quoted him and left not bothering to look back.
