Chapter 7: Recovery Mission

Mist City, Pacific Ocean

It was couple of days after we learn that the maids is trapped in the ruin city inside the Sakura Empire territory where they told me that this place used to be place to live until the Sirens arrive and destroyed the place which is sad, but right now our task is to recover the black wisdom cube that controls the Siren production ships or at least that I was told, but I'm worry that those ships will attack us if we're aren't looking. We have Iron Blood forces to invade the city and hunt down the maids, but it's going to be longer due to how large it is, but I can sense their presence or at least a feeling. Zuikaku have her planes patrolling the area and found nothing, probably because the mist is making things harder so I decide to seek them with military tactics. Takao is near me and she blame herself for the failure of the recover of the wisdom cube, but I calm her down; however she got shock by Atago's hug.

Takao(angry): "I can't believe I left them left my grasp."

Regele: "Don't be Takao; I was there to so we both are responsible for not recover the wisdom cube so it's our job to get it back."

Atago(happy): "He's right Takao."

Takao(shock): "What?"

Atago is groping Takao which cause me to close my eyes and focus of where my target which I notice a large tower in the middle of the city and I can see one of the maids poking her head out looking for us, but it was me to spot her so I use my hand to control one of my turrets and aim at the tower while I talk to the girls.

Regele: "Get ready girls because I'm going to flush them out."

My turret is aiming at the tower and fire right at it which cause the tower to explode and the maids jump out of the tower with the neko girl which cause Zuikaku's plane to change course and attack the maids, but looks like Azur Lane forces have arrive to rescue their mates.

Regele: "Looks like someone wants to ruin the party."

Takao: "No doubt Enterprise is with them. Zuikaku and Shoukaku is heading toward the fleet."

I sense this is a distraction and Enterprise is inside the city so I decide to infiltrate the city and deal with her so I can make fun of Iron Blood for been weak.

Regele: "I'm heading inside while you girls deal with the fleet."

Takao: "Where are you going?"

Regele: "Someone I want to challenge."

I head inside the city while everyone is fighting outside and I start to hear fighting from the inside so that means the rescue team has infiltrate the inner part of the city, but I let Iron Blood deal with it and I can see Takao and Atago coming inside of the city from other direction while I focus on Enterprise. I start searching the area until I saw her from the corner of my eye and I head toward her direction which I notice her aiming her bow at Prinz Eugen which gives me a golden opportunity since she doesn't know that I'm here.

Enterprise: "Looks like you have a good heart Belfast."

She was aiming at Prinz Eugen which she was about to give up, but I decide to change the table on them.

Regele: "It's been a while Enterprise; I hope you change your attitude from last time."

That shock her when I have a blade to her neck and demand the maids to drop the wisdom cube.

Regele: "How about you drop the wisdom cube or her head comes off."

One of the maids drop the wisdom cube and Iron Blood pick it up while them make a full scale retreat and once that is done; I make a break for it.

Regele: "Sorry Enterprise, but right now my job is done."

I left while Azur Lane feel defeated by my surprise ambush and return to the fleet. We return to the fleet and see Takao arrive with her sister after learning that the wisdom cube has been recover.

Takao: "I'm glad that we got the wisdom cube back."

Prinz Eugen: "If it wasn't for Regele then they would have won the battle, but he turn the tide of this battle against them and we recover the cube."

Regele: "You're about to give up without picking up the fight. I would still recover the cube even with her bow aiming at me."

That cause Prinz Eugen and Iron Blood some embarrassment, but at least the job is done and we return back to the Sakura Empire, but I notice Ayanami is conflicting about something so I ask her.

Regele: "Something wrong Ayanami?"

Ayanami(conflict): "I don't know, but why is Javelin and Laffey refuse to fight me and they want to be my friend?"

I don't know the answer because we never trust anyone after what happen during World War 2 where we been betrayed by our own allies including the Allies who broke their promise on our independence against the USSR, but I hope she won't go through with that. I can hear Takao at the distance about taking a bath at the hot spring.

Takao: "After we get back; how about we head to the hot spring and drink for our victory."

Regele: "I agree with you."

Atago(tease): "You want to see us naked Regele?" 

That cause both of us to blush like crazy.

Regele(blush): "That wasn't it; I think it was a good idea to relax after completing a mission."

Takao(blush): "That's right; it's important for warriors to be rewarded for their success."

We both nod with agreement while Atago who have her hand on her face with a smile look on her face as if she isn't buying anything from it while humming about it. We decide to drop the subject and heading home so we can relax.
