Shela, a sixteen Year old, daughter of Neptal a noble man. He is one of the wealthiest traders in his kingdom. He's a widower and has three children Dile and Neil both twins and Shela his last born a girl.
Shela was soon to be betrothed to the prince of Takus, a very enchanted place.Takus was like a huge magical forest with no end but they people transformed it into their home years ago after the Northerners took over their lands and they protected the magic making sure it doesn't get out through learnt spells.
Shela wasn't in support of the alliance, but what could she do, Her father saw it as a great opportunity for his business . She prayed that the royal family won't accept her.
She pleaded with her brother Dile to reason with their father on the matter, Dile promised he would try but he came back with a bad news. Shela won't stress herself talking to Neil, because he doesn't take things seriously.
Months passed and the whole kingdom was getting ready for the new year. Dile had Informed her that the prince had found a girl to get married too and Shela was overjoyed. Dile too was happy for his sister ,He loves seeing her that way.
As shela and Dile were celebrating their so called victory, Neptal was furious about what was going on. He wondered why the royal family hadn't accepted the proposal ,So he decided to pay a visit to the family.
Neil decided to meet Shela, He saw her near the enchanted garden talking to someone and if he's correct it should be his handsome twin brother. He went down to the garden with a wide and creepy smile. Anyone who saw it will wonder if he was alright.
He matched like a little child with he's shoulders held high. He was few steps away when he heard his sister talking about how the glowing magical creatures jumped from one flower to another making it alive and healthy. He ran and hocked his arms around both of their shoulders, one arm hocked on shela's shoulder and the other on Dile's shoulder.
"Good morning siblings" said Neil as he kissed Dile's chick then shela's chick. Dile slapped Neil's Head and told him that he doesn't look like his girlfriend. "Do you blame me for caring about my twin And my beautiful sister" Neil said as be stepped in front* of them look like an ugly human under the rain.
"What do you want Now Neil? It seems you don't have anything to do today". Said Dile as he tried to pick some flowers but the creatures bit his hand. Neil smiled and apologized to shela for not being there for her through her hard times.
Perplexed , "what do you mean?" Shela asked. Neil turned,looked at Shela and told her that he heard what was happening, That she was soon to be betrothed to the prince but since they were many girls. The prince picked from them.
"I never knew they were many girls" shela asked as she looked at Neil's with a surprised look." Yes sister , you were not the only girl, they were many. If you were, you would have been married to the prince by now ".
Shela was thankful that they were many girls for the prince to pick as wife." I wonder where you get your informations from" shela said In a whisper but enough for her brothers to hear . Dile replied by saying Neil gets his informations by galavanting around the kingdom,He then laughed.
Neil glared at his twin brother and then brought in a sad look. Shela asked why his face was like that." Father is paying a visit to the royal family about now". Said Neil
"Why" asked Shela with a tensed look. "Maybe to enquire why his daughter wasn't chosen" replied Neil. Dile tried to calm shela down. He promised that he would ask father why he had gone there. Neil looked at both of them and then whispered to the air. Immediately,the garden became quite,then the noticed how the glowing creatures Rose up and started to twirl in circles and the wind blew around dancing with them. They then noticed a silhouette of a fair like creatures formed from those tiny creatures.
The fairy like creatures looked at Shela as the middle one pulled out her hand for shela and She took it. The creatures started to sing and they took off with shela. Shela kept on screaming when they will throw her and another one catches her. Magic kept flowing and following them. Sometimes she will levitate which was Neil's handwork. The flowers all sorrounded her. Dile noticed one wasn't participating in the fun but he won't ask or showed he.
Soon after,Shela's voice wasn't head anymore. Neil ordered them to bring her down and they handed her to Dile. Dile looked at the creature and so did she. Neil noticed and smiled. He silently hoped it wasn't what he was thinking.
Before left with Shela, Dile grabbed Neil's ear and told him he should stop behaving like a market woman that is in search of gossips. Neil asked how but Dile didn't answer. He told Neil to go get a good job rather than learning spells and galavanting the kingdom like a goat without a head .He then left but Neil just smiled and focused on the creatures. Dile turned and saw Neil talking to her and she looked at him and Neil also turned. He then spelled and all of them turn back to the tiny glowing creatures.
Neptal finally arrived late at night. Shela and Neil were waiting for a news from Dile because He had gone to welcome him. Shela had been pacing around while Neil had long fallen asleep. Shela wondered how God could waste his time in creating such a lazy person. She wished she could be as care free like Neil. She took a blanket and covered him.
As for Dile, he has been looking at his father's angry face. They were both in the library. He decided to ask the cause of his anger and Neptal told his son that he asked why his daughter wasn't chosen and the royal didn't reply back.
Neptal said he would offer his daughter as a second wife and the royal family sent him out of the house saying he's being to desperate. Neptal asked if shela and Neil were asleep and Dile replied with a yes.
Neptal made a frustrated sound. "I wonder what I shall do to your brother? He doesn't behave like a first born. I think we should get him married" Neptal said.
Dile immediately refused. He reasoned with his father that Neil is immature. "He might abandon his wife and children or even commit suicide or sell his family for a grain of sand" said Dile.
"I won't let my dear brother abandon me here all alone to suffer, while he enjoys himself In his wife's and children's care. Who will I fight with? Who will share my bed and who will I talk too when I'm sad?" Dile thought.
Dile had gone to inform shela that father's plan had failed . Shela was delighted with the news. She happily Left her brothers to her room to have a good rest.
Dile looked at his brother and woke him up. Neil opened his eyes and smiled at his brother . He stood up slowly and Dile decided to twist the story by saying that their father was planning on fixing his marriage but he being a good boy convinced him that he would like to be married on the Same day with his brother.
Neil was surprised , "why would father do that? Fixing your marriage while I'm here". Dile began to feel confused and guilty because that's not what he said at all. "Okay , father wanted to fix yours but I convinced him that he shouldn't". Dile said." Why would you do that? You know how eager I am to live this house". Neil said.
"You think getting married is the easiest way to leave? They are many ways Neil". Dile said. He knew what Neil went through and is till going through in his father's hands. Neil kept on trying but their father won't be pleased . So he just stopped trying.
"Anyways I'm gonna crash in your room tonight,Specifically the bed". Neil's voice came in removing Dile from his reverie. "First one there is a rotting egg". Dile said as he ran smiling and Neil shouted cheater as he followed his brother with a smile.
