" I don't know what Zillian is up to mother. He promised me he has a plan, which was convincing his mother he loves me but she declined. He said he won't get married to Shela but I fear that might happen. His mother says Shela 's the ideal daughter-in-law", Lilly said.
"Is she aware that you have taken in for him?", her mother asked. "She's aware,  she says that after the wedding she shall inform Shela about it. And the child shall know Shela as mother and not me", lilly said on the floor wiping. "Don't cry my daughter", her mother said as she cleaned her daughter's face.
"You will get married to Zillian and not Shela, you will become queen and not her",her mother assured her. "And I most make sure that comes to past", her mother said with determination."How are you going to do that?", Lilly asked."Trust your mother". Lilly was so confused but just trusted her mother. That night, Lilly's mother went on a journey to the boundary of Takus. She was aware she might encounter a charmer on the way but the reward is precious. The charmers will renew the barrier which means it will be weak for a second, and that's when she would cross it.
She would take that one second to cross the boundary as quick as she can. She needs to meet with the northern witch for what she desires."Is everything ready for the renewal?", Halia asked one of the Men." Not yet ma'am. We just need to place our orbs on the wooden staffs", he said. "But have they been mounted next to the boundary?", Halia asked. "Yes ma'am", he replied." Quickly place the orbs on  the staffs and be gentle with them cause they are fragile", Halia ordered. "And where's Neil?", She asked. "He's in that tent ma'am", the man said as she pointed at a particular tent.
Halia walked towards the tent then she felt uneasy. She looked at the bushes and saw something move. "What happened to you?", Neil who just got out of the tent planted a kiss on her chicks. "I feel uneasy and I think someone's here except us charmers", Halia said. "Interesting, are you going insane?," Neil said jokingly. "Seriously Neil", She said with a serious expression. "Come on darling, maybe you saw a branch or an animal. Don't get to stressed out, we have to finish with the renewal", Neil said
"I don't think we should go home early, it's not Everytime we get a babysitter who would stay with the girls. They highest survived an hour and us, we pray for them to sleep all day. Good thing Shela has no idea of how troublesome they are", Halia said. Don't worry, I'm sure they girls by now have met their match. Trust me, Shela is very strict", Neil said.
"And what were you doing inside?," Halia asked. "Seeing some ceiling spells for the barrier", Neil said as he held a book. "What happened to the ones in your head', Halia asked. "I'm trying to combine it with this new one. This one seems strong and combining it with the one in my head, will be stronger", Neil explained with excitement. "What's the down side?", Halia asked with suspicion. "The Catch?", He asked."Yes Neil, spill it", she said.
"Ahhhhh... Maybe an explosion if it resist or an interference but the good side is... We might not renew the barrier. It would be stronger as years pass and it could last for hundreds of years", Neil explained." It's risky and I can't afford to lose you or anyone here. Just kindly stick to the normal spell you are fund with. We created this barrier two years ago, to protect this kingdom and it has done well. This barrier is special, and young. We just can't force such amount of magic on it Neil".
"Let's stick to this magic and gently charm our way into the barrier's strength, not Force it. We might end up Breaking it and besides the barrier is my friend Neil don't abuse it", Halia said with a soft chuckle as she walked ahead of him. Neil just looked at his book then rolled his eyes."Hope that wasn't for me Neeeilll?", Halia asked with a smirk."No it wasn't darling", Neil said as he ran after her.
It was finally time for the renewal and all charmers stood at their position next to their orbs, which were on staffs. Neil stayed in the middle as the head and  his orb was the the biggest. Halia looked at  Neil and smiled which was filled with love. Then they started to sing which sounded unique. It was loud. It was like a lullaby but brought an enchanting peace to anyone who  listened.
They touched the orbs with there hands and it emitted sky blue lights, revealing an invisible wall which appeared transparent. Neil then started to resite spells in a strange language with his eyes closed. Suddenly his orb glowed with a strong light which appeared to be trapped in the rest.
Neil's orb seemed to have an effect on the rest. They too glowed more but not as Neil's. He finally said his final lines, then the orbs light busted towards the invisible wall. "That was it", Lilly's mother thought. "At the same time the lights busted, she was about to jump through but was suddenly pushed back falling flat on the ground. The charmers lights finally dimmed, which meant  the new barrier had been done. "No, This can't happen, not now!", lilly mother said frustrated. She was so angry at herself. "So I will go home a failure?, She asked herself with agony.
" I wanted to seek the northern witch and now I spoilt my only chance", she said to herself. She was about to turn back but... "You're here to seek the northern Witch?", A voice asked. Lilly's mother turned around but couldn't see anyone. "Yes, I am and who are you?", She asked no one in particular. "I could make your dream come true", the voice responded. Lilly's mother then noticed that the voice was coming from where the barrier was. And it seemed the voice was on the other side of the kingdom. The Walemin, in the northern side. The barrier was till somehow  visible for now. Lilly's mother stared at it closely only to behold a pair of wide creepy eyes staring right at her with a creepy smile.
She wasn't scared at all but wondered what it wanted. "Who are you and what do you want?", She asked."Who I am doesn't matter, what I waaannt is more important. I need help and it appears you are the only person who could help me, in return I help you". The voice echoed. "What  help do you need from me?", Lilly's mother suspiciously asked. "That will be after I  help you. You seek the northern witch but sad to say she's long gone but I'm stronger and more capable of it", the voice said.
"Just stretch your hands out of the barrier and take hold of my hands", the voice command."Hope You are aware that if I put any of my body parts or step out without the permission of a charmer, the barrier will send me out of the kingdom. I will be to exiled", Lilly's mother explained to it. "Well, I won't force you  but think about your lost. I could fulfill your wishes, all of the things you desire.  It's your call not mine", the voice said.
"Okay, what do I do", Lilly's mother asked her ."Come over to my side. You shall Mark the price of your reward", the voice said with a hidden meaning. Lilly's mother stretched out her hands and it pulled her out of the barrier. Suddenly a shrill scream echoed in the forest."What was that?", One of the charmers said. Neil an Halia stared at each other for a minute."Do you think an animal caught someone?", Halia asked. Neil was about to answer but then the  barrier suddenly became  more visible and glowed greenish blue. All the charmers stared at it and wondered what was going on.
The barrier then darkened into dark green."What's happening  Neil?", Halia asked. "Someone is interfering. He or she is trying to get using...", Neil said with a curious expression. "black magic", Halia completed his statement. All the charmers pulled out there staffs  and unleashed their magic from their orbs. The strange colour reduced for a minutes. "Everyone step back and seek cover. Halia you too, Neil ordered. The barrier suddenly went back to dark green then started to heat up. All the charmers could feel it.
Neil started to chant some spells in a language, the power of what he said seemed to affect things around them. The grasses spinned, the trees swayed, the wind blew in whispers. "Neil what are you doing? Neil!!, Neil stop it!!! ". "Halia go back and seek cover", Neil said in that language but Halia could understand. Neil was getting pale. The paler he got the more his orb glowed and now it was as bright as the sun.
Halia saw a hand which emerged forcefully from the barrier." It's trying to force it's way in", Halia thought .she stared at it and Neil. It's right shoulder finally showed and Halia was tensed and confused.Neil!!, Shouted Halia as she ran towards him then it pulled out its face and at that time Neil  struck his staff on the ground and hot light busted out in that area. Two pairs of familar eyes stared at the Sky and was fascinated with what she saw. Two extra people stood with her too and watched the sky.
