"What happened?" Jisung asked in a soft tone, putting a bag of ice on Hyunjin's cheek.
"I don't even know what he's angry about...," Hyunjin muttered. "It's the first time that something like this happens, usually it's a joke between us."
"Are you okay? He literally punched you yesterday too, does it hurt?"
Jisung didn't wanted to sound like a bad friend, but he was worried about Minho too.
He hadn't seen his face closely so he didn't know if Hyunjin had punched him as well.
Hyunjin smiled. "No, I'm okay, don't worry Ji. But there is something that I need to know though..."
"Yeah?"
"Who is he?" Hyunjin asked, looking at the stranger that was cleaning the pieces of glass on the floor.
"I have no idea, I haven't asked yet," Jisung answered, feeling guilty.
The man got up from the floor and smiled at the two friends. "My name is Jiwoong," he said. "Nice to meet you."
Hyunjin smiled at him and looked at Jisung. "Why did you bring him?"
"I was scared... I didn't want you guys to hurt yourselves..."
Jiwoong sat on the couch with them and sighed. "Can I get your number?" he randomly asked, looking at Jisung.
The boy blushed. "M-mine?"
Hyunjin frowned. "His?"
"Yeah. That's the principal reason why I talked to you and I ended up in... this."
"But, you talked to me because you thought that I was someone else..."
Hyunjin sighed. "Oh my gosh Jisung, it's a way of getting to knowing someone."
Jiwoong chuckled. "Guilty, yeah. So? Can I get it?"
Jisung looked at Hyunjin then at Jiwoong again before nodding.
"Sure!"
Eventually, Jiwoong had to go and Hyunjin had to pay for that flower pot.
"I don't want to see you ever again, got it, Hyunjin?" Yeji said, putting the money in her wallet.
"Why is that coming into your wallet though?"
"Because it is what it is. Now, get going."
The two friends got back to their dorms.
Standing in front of his dorm door, Jisung was too scared to get in.
Is he still angry at me?
The glare and the push had made his heart hurt.
After taking a deep breath, he opened the door.
To his surprise, the dorm was empty.
"Minho?" Jisung called in a weak voice.
No reply.
Where is he?
He then rushed over the stairs and went up until he arrived at the rooftop.
As expected, he saw Minho from a distance, sitting on the floor, facing the view.
Han walked quietly over him.
"Minho?" he called in a whisper.
Minho turned his head around and turned off his cigarette without saying a word.
Jisung got closer to him. "Do you want me to leave?" he asked, still in a whisper.
Minho didn't answer so Jisung got closer.
"I'll take that as a 'no'..."
The boy sat beside his roommate and looked at the view too.
A few seconds passed, maybe minutes until Jisung finally turned to see Minho's face.
His cheek was red and swollen.
Jisung gasped and was about to touch it but Minho made a rough movement, pulling away.
"Sorry...," Jisung apologized, pretending that the movement hadn't made his heart hurt.
He looked away in embarrassment and emotional sorrow.
I'm so stupid.
Why did I agree to doing that?
"Sorry Min...," he finally whispered. "I... I'll go get you some ice," he said as he was getting up, not planning in coming back with ice.
But before he could walk away, Minho turned a little and stopped him by grabbing his hand.
Jisung looked at him.
Minho was still looking at the view.
"Stay," he whispered.
Jisung smiled a little and got back to his initial place, being kind of closer to Minho.
"I'm sorry Minho," he said, looking at him.
"Jisung," Minho started, finally looking at the boy. "I'm not mad at you."
Han looked down and gulped. "Say it like I said it..."
Minho chuckled. "It's okay, Ji. Everything's okay..."
Jisung looked up at him and smiled.
The older boy smiled too and put his arm around the boy's shoulders.
They stayed like that, looking at the view until Minho spoke again. "And sorry for treating you like that back there... I was having an episode."
"It's okay... I don't mind," Jisung explained. "Can I see your face, though?"
Minho sighed and nodded, putting his arm off of the boy's shoulders.
Han observed his face. "He punched you on the same spot as yesterday...," he noticed, slightly touching it. "Does it hurt?"
Minho was looking at him directly in the eyes as he shook his head.
"Really? Damn, it looks like it does...," Jisung grabbed his roommate's chin. "Let me see the other side."
Even with his head turned, Minho was looking at the boy's eyes.
"Okay, you're good here... I'm going to get you some ice, okay? It'll get worse if you leave it like this."
"No," Minho said. "Don't leave."
"Min," Han chuckled, "I'm getting ice for your face... I'm coming back in two minutes, yeah?"
"I don't need ice, you can stay here," Minho said, frowning.
Jisung nodded and smiled. "But we are getting some ice for you when we go back, alright?"
"Alright."
They both smiled and looked at the view together in silence.
This feels good.
Warm.
