Akuma nervously sat upon his throne within the keep, awaiting Rex's arrival with a sense of anticipation. He was feeling anxious about the future of his town, as the small settlement had not yet achieved the size required to be considered a proper Kingdom. However, at the same time, he knew that security was necessary for its expansion. As he mulled over his options, a thought entered his mind - it may not be the most virtuous solution, but it could be effective in bringing people to the town to support its growth.
Akuma sat on his throne nervously, waiting for Rex's arrival with Flexia in tow. He observed Flexia as she walked beside Rex, her colorful tunic and bed hair from the night before still on display. She yawned as she scratched her hair, and Akuma turned his attention to Rex, who was carrying a map in his hand.
"We have your map Lord, Akuma."
Akuma took the map in hand, observing the details laid out. He noticed that their location was located in the North-West portion of the land, next to the Emerald forest and the Felmoor River. A nearby Kingdom is marked out on the map, along with the other Kingdoms in the surrounding region.
He noted the details and then raised a question.
"How large is the neighboring Kingdom, and how long would it take to travel there, if one were to attempt such a task?"
Flexia's demeanor changed from sleepy and laid-back to serious in an instant, as she replied swiftly to Akuma's inquiry.
"Approximately 5 hours by horseback, m'lord. If we employ a carriage with four horses, we could reach there in under three hours."
Akuma nodded, taking note of her response.
"I see. If we possess enough fresh horses, we would be able to get there quickly, and I have a proposition of my own."
Akuma revealed that he had an idea of his own that he believed would be beneficial to their settlement.
Akuma rose from his throne and slammed the map closed. A devilish smile spread across his face as he shared his idea.
"I've never visited a kingdom before, so I'm looking forward to the experience. I wish to learn more about how these establishments truly function. Perhaps, I could even get to know some individuals, and use my powers of manipulation to convince them that their Kingdom's leader is committing a terrible act. And when their kingdom lies in smoldering ruins...they will seek refuge in Silverwyn!"
Akuma let out a sinister laugh and proudly proclaimed his evil plot.
"Get me those horses ready... I have places to be..."
"My, Lord!"
Flexia and Rex rushed out of the keep to search for horses and a carriage for the journey. In the meantime, Akuma exited his chambers and walked out of the keep, wearing a charming white outfit with a black hood. He observed the horses and carriage that were already prepared for transport.
Flexia then turned to view the lord in his ensemble and blushed, calling his appearance good. She proceeded to question if he would need anyone to accompany him, to which Akuma brushed off the notion, saying that he would not require any security.
Flexia made her case for traveling along with Akuma on the expedition, but the lord reassured her of his competency, saying that he would be okay on his own.
