My eyes shot open and I repeatedly blinked as I looked at my surroundings trying to figure out where I was.
I rose up and sat up with the help of my arms as support, I groaned and laid back on the bed I was on.
I noticed I was in a hospital room and my eyes focused onto Katherina and Ruben sleeping in the chair.
I dropped something on the floor to wake them up, They jumped and their eyes shot open looking at me.
"Daddy!" Ruben ran towards me and climbed up on the bed, "Aw, Hey little man." I smiled as he crawled on to me.
I groaned when I felt him lean on my ribs, "Ease up," I tell him as I hug him close to me, Katherina stood up and walked towards me.
"How long have I been out?" I ask her staring up into her eyes, She pushes her hair behind her ears and puts her hands behind her back. "Two weeks." She mumbles.
"Wait, What about Valeria?" I ask as I take out the breathing tube from my nose ripping out the IV in my arm.
"Wait, You have to rest- Where is she?" I ask again standing up from the bed, "She's in the next room, She's been in and out of it." I hold Ruben and limp my way out the room.
"Ready to see your sister?" He nods and smiles, I use the wall as support as I open the door, The sight of Valeria in the bed hooked up to different machines in the silent room only the beeping of the heart monitor was heard.
"Uhm how about we see her later, She's really tired and needs her rest." He frowns but nods slowly, "That's why I didn't say anything." Katherina mumbles in my ear, I turn around to face her and place Ruben down on the floor.
"What about the other kids?"
"Most likely trashing your house, I left them with the supervision of Angelo." My eyes damn near pop out of my socket, "I have so many priceless things in there are you kidding me?" She chuckles and walks away.
"By the way Strict orders from the doctors, You have to wear crutches or you'll never get better." I groan and leaned against the wall.
"Daddy Can we go home? I'm tired." Ruben yawns as he grabs my hand, I nod and walk back to my room.

"Get down from there." I tell one of the kids that were jumping on my couch, My phone started ringing making me sigh.
"Hello," I sighed into the mic as I sat down, "We are with the Hospital, Where your daughter Valeria is staying. Correct?" I stand up and leave out the room, "Yeah that's right." I say as I close the door.
