The remaining Cullens and the witnesses already arrived were standing outside of their modern house in Forks. All watched on fascinated as Bella Cullen Swan was attempting to project her mental shield outwards. Nobody could actually see if she was doing anything but they did get a kick out of when Edward Cullen was brought to his knees by Kate Denali's electrifying powers.

They were sprawled out around the edge of the forest.

Some watched from the trees, namely the Amazon Coven of Senna, Zafrina and Kachiri.

Others stood a little back out of the firing zone. The Egyptian Coven for one: Kebi, Amun, Tia and Benjamin. The Romanian Coven lounged near them as if Stefan and Vladimir were  trying to hide the fact that they were unwilling to be near such a volatile force.

Apart from Kate and Irina of course, the Denali coven stood waiting behind the pair. That is Tanya, Carmen and Eleazer. Tanya's mouth was slightly turned into a frown at seeing Edward constantly go through pain but she did nothing to stop it and merely watched with a sense of unease.

Next to them were but two other Cullens, Carlisle and Esme. Those two had recently returned themselves but were anxiously waiting for their other two children's arrival. All the nomads that they had set off to ask had arrived, that which they had been informed agreed, so they could not fathom what was possibly taking them so long. Perhaps they had run into trouble with the Volturi. Neither of them trusted the kings not to play dirty tricks like this, especially Caius.

Garrett stood almost alarmingly close to Kate. Either to feel the electricity once again or simply for the sake of being close, everyone was sure even he didn't know but if he was willing to put himself through the risk of so much pain then they were all under the sentiment of on his head be it.

He was one of the aforementioned nomads, the others of Mary and Randall and Alastair were much more hidden as they watched. Alastair stood on the attic balcony, gazing down at them all. Mary and Randall were scattered about near the back, away from prying eyes. They were simply hear to witness not to interact with anyone here.

Charlotte and Peter whom, although nomadic, were sent by Jasper and Alice maintained a firm middle ground. In front of the Romanian and Egyptian Covens but behind the Denalis and Olympic Coven.

Much like the Irish coven who were next to them. Siobhan in the centre with Maggie and Liam on either side. Occasionally Maggie would whisper under her breath to Siobhan "Truth" or "Lie" whenever anyone made a statement. Of course, all could hear her but it made for some entertainment whenever Garrett boasted of one of his adventures that Maggie then proclaimed to be a lie.

"Again." Bella said for the umpteenth time after Kate went to shock Edward but he stood his ground despite a slight pain in his eyes. She wanted to be rid of it completely and as soon as it was she could try protecting others as well. Not just Edward but perhaps her whole family.

"Alright, another being fired up. You better hope she doesn't slip up pretty boy." Kate smirked and Garrett looked at her with pure admiration. Not that he hadn't been ever since getting electrocuted but it reignited to the initial fire it had been when she spoke like that.

Her hand was just coming down to rest on Edward's shoulder when light and fast footsteps were heard by everyone. Approaching quickly towards the house, perhaps a couple of seconds before they reached there and seemingly not followed by the barking of wolves as the Romanian Coven had been.

Unfortunately for Edward, Kate did not stop moving her hand down, distracted by those approaching. Even more unfortunately for Edward his dear wife was also distracted and so did not project her shield like she would've. All of this meant that Edward was soon writhing on the ground in sheer agony. Not that any but Bella noticed as they all watched the space between a specific set of trees.
