"Good evening, sir. I am Jayden and that one in the car is Taren. We are from the town police department. We came here to ask if you ever see someone new or anyone else that seem out of ordinary around here around last month?"
Jayden has been in the police department for almost 20 years and he is now 43 years old. He is not local residence because he just moves here around 8 years ago. While Taren is local born but she works outside the town before 6 years ago. So, they basically known who live here and there in an acquaintance level.
While asking some more question just from outside the door, Jayden sneak a few peeks inside the house and nod his head a few times while listening to Durrent and also when he looking at Madson who shaking his head indicating that he haven't seen anyone.
"So, exactly with all of this question?" Durrent ask casually.
"Early this month, a man at his early 30 years old, non-local came here in this town for sight-seeing. A week after he staying in his hotel, the hotel management called the police telling one of their customers might be missing or run away. All his belonging is still in the room he rent, so, the possibility of missing person is suspected. Now we widen our search radius surrounding at the edge of the town. Today we just got here."
"...." Durrent nod a few times expressing that he got it and said, "well, then better looking as soon as possible, who knows what happened to him. We will be calling if we saw something or any resemblance of suspicion. Can you tell me how he looks like?"
"Male, white, early 30, short dark hair, around 180cm to 190cm, slightly slender and mostly average looking. Last seen wearing short sleeve dark blue shirt, long blue jean and possibly have backpack with him. Tell me if you ever seen him." Jayden leave his contact at him.
"Alright, got it. But saying the guy look 'average' sound harsh, isn't it?" said while expressing his sympathetic toward the missing man.
"Hahaha. Can't say anything else with that kind of face, totally average to me. Alright then. I'll be going. Good evening." Jayden get in car and took off.
Durrent close the door and look at Madson.
"You pick a guy with a 'average' face to kill and think that is me? Seriously?"
"We are not sure that guy is our guy though." Madson turn back in the living room and ready to take both their mug to wash.
"Maybe he is. You heard the police guy said." Pointing at his back where the door is while he facing Madson inside the house and decided to follow him. "Everything is fit the description. All we have to think now is where exactly you found him or does anybody ever see you talk to him. Or maybe he bumps you a bit and made you goes crazy for a kill." Talking while making angry looking gesture to tackle someone from behind.
"I am not that bloodthirsty monster who goes berserk whenever get into dissatisfaction" Madson in the kitchen washing the mug. He then wipes it dry with kitchen towel that hang in front of him by the window neatly and put the mug away in the top left cabinet. He then remembers something else and directly look in the garbage bin looking for something.
"What are you doing? Had enough being a human and now you want to be a raccoon digging garbage?" Durrent stand near him with sarcastic remark.
Madson take out the broken light bulb from the bin and show it to Durrent.
"What? You got an idea?" Durrent smile at him."Stop joking. Did you change this last bulb?" Madson ask seriously.
"No, I didn't. I just got here this morning. The moment you saw me get in is the moment I got here and you just suddenly freak out, screaming at me, telling me I'm dead, ask me to help you digging dead body, having a sweet bath together after getting drench by the rain like a lost child and finally here we are now. I don't even have a time to checks anything else." He takes the chair beside the kitchen table and sat leisurely.
