"Yoona! Is everything prepared?"
Natalia smiled hearing the familiar voice of his father. After spending a week inside Sunghoon's castle, she was finally able to go home. She enjoyed his castle. The knights and servants are very welcoming. His parents also made her feel at home but she really missed her own castle and her parents' company.
It became some sort of tradition or order that the newlyweds must stay inside for a week after the wedding. Most probably to ensure they will bear an heir as soon as possible. It started as a tradition which became a royal protocol later on. Much to modern royals' dismay.
In Sunghoon and Natalia's case, they just ended up playing Valorant with each other. Ranking up and playing several games all week. They still slept in the same bed to keep up the act.
During the entire week, Sunghoon and Natalia got to know each other more. To her surprise, he wasn't bringing anyone into their room, which was something she expected would happen at least once.
King Yoongi and his queen happily granted her wish to visit home after the long week has passed. Thinking that she must be 'tired' from their rendezvous. They wanted her to feel like she was part of the family and not just some trophy they placed on their son.
"Hey dad."
Her dad immediately turned around. He walked forward and greeted his daughter with a hug. "Lia! We missed you. How is everything? Do you want a divorce? Do we need to get your things? Are you being abused?"
Nat chuckled. She missed this. At first, she always thought it was annoying but after spending a week without them, she found herself missing her dad's annoying voice and her mom's nagging.
Her dad is a mighty and powerful along. Alongside king Yoongi. The two kings are actually childhood friends who grew up together. They also underwent the same training and went to the same school.
"No, dad. I am perfectly fine. How's everything?"
"-Junho! Why aren't you responding- Natalia!"
The queen emerged from the background and greeted her daughter with another warm hug. "My baby!" She said and showered her face with kisses.
Queen Yoona is a kind and loving queen who is loved by all. She is close to her people, always hearing them out and reaching out to them. She has a long black hair, shorter than the king, and a beautiful face.
Nat inhaled their scents. Something she missed desperately during her first night at Sunghoon's castle. She looked around the castle and saw it had more design than when she left.
"Well, we wanted to fill the void you left." Her dad smiled sadly.
"Should I move back here?" Nat asked innocently.
"Are you hungry? We prepared everything." Yoona changed the topic. Natalia pretended not to notice what her mom was doing. Yoona loves her daughter but she also knows Natalia also needs to grow up on her own, without them dotting around her all the time.
"Very." She smiled.
"-the prince is currently getting chased by Teddy."
Natalia's eyes widened seeing Sunghoon getting chased by her golden retriever. Her dog, Teddy is an enormous golden retriever. The scary prince Sunghoon is getting chased by a lovely golden retriever. Sunghoon was already started to sweat beads but Natalia was having the time of her life. It was the perfect revenge for all the flirting and teasing she had to endure.
"Nat if you don't control this thing I'm going to throw it over the wall like how Hera threw Hephaestus."
Nat snorted. "Why should I? You look like you're having fun." She laughed
"Natalia!" Sunghoon cried out
She sighed with a smile on her face. Too bad it needed to end. She was enjoying the live comedy-thriller show in front of her. "Teddy!" She called. Once the dog recognized the voice, he turned around and began running towards the princess.
Nat sat down to greet her dog. The speed of the dog running managed to push her back as they finally met.
Nat laid on the ground. Her parents watched in fascination. Nat is laughing on the floor as Teddy began sniffing her. Beside her, Sunghoon bent over, with hands to his knees to try to catch his breath.
"That was traumatizing."
"Oh don't be a kid."
They settled themselves in. To Natalia's dismay, Sunghoon would be sharing her room. Time passed quickly and before they know it, it was time for dinner.
Sunghoon's eyes widened seeing Nat wear casual shorts and some jersey she had from playing volleyball.
"What?" She glared seeing him look at her.
"You're allowed to wear that?" He asked. Every castle has their own traditions. Others are completely modern, others stick to the medieval style, and others are a mixture of both. Like Natalia's castle.
Sunghoon's castle is also a combination however, it is more traditional compared to Natalia's.
Nat sat down nonchalantly. "It's my castle." She shrugged and smiled as the maids began to place the food on their table.
"I know you're only staying for two days but I hope you guys enjoy." Yoona smiled at her daughter.
Sunghoon smiled politely and began eating as the queen and king also began eating.
Nat's eyes widened. "Mom! Can we visit the stables tomorrow? It's been so long." She whined.
"Bring your husband with you." Junho said. Nat smiled forcefully and nodded.
***
"Why, just why do you enjoy this." Sunghoon complained, feeling the heat from the sun.
"You can just stay in the castle, you know?" Nat was beginning to get frustrated.
"I mean, the sun is blazing hot. Why would you willingly go under it?" He asked.
Nat rolled her eyes. "Just go back!" She yelled.
To her disappointment, Sunghoon just shook his head and sat down. Wearing his sunglasses and reapplying sunscreen.
"No thanks. I want to be a good son-in-law." He smiled.
Nat rolled her eyes once more and began to take off her coat. Revealing her inner clothes. She tied her hair back and made sure her shoes are tight enough.
She smiled seeing her horse being guided by her maid. "Maximus! Did you miss me?" She cooed and began petting him.
Sunghoon turned to look at her. Her clothes perfectly hugged her figure. It was the first time he saw her with her hair up. His adam's apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed seeing her like this.
His jaw clenched seeing one of the servants hold her waist and guide her up the horse. It should be him doing that. He's the husband after all.
His eyes widened seeing Natalia begin to ride the horse in a fast pace.
"Nat, oh my god." He took off his glasses and stood up. Watching in worry.
Nat smiled as she finally got her escape. The air breezing againts her hair effortlessly.
She smirked seeing the distressed look on her husband's face.
After a few more minutes, she got off her horse and walked towards Sunghoon.
Removing her tie, her hair fell as her hips swayed while walking.
"Close your mouth, Sunghoon."
