"I'm starting to regret this." Natalia glared at Sunghoon who had a smile of victory.
"As the president, you have no say." He smirked.
"What does a broken car have to do with you bring the music club's president?!" Nat said in frustration.
Sunghoon just chuckled before grabing her bag and opening the car door for her.
"Let's go your highness."
Natalia rolled her eyes as she entered the car.
As expected, the students began to crowd. They began to wisper as to why Natalia and Sunghoon are on the same car. It was a mixed reaction. Others were happy that they went together, others were not.
No matter how much they hated seeing them together, they indeed radiate power. People can't deny the fact that they would make a good couple. They are both smart, good at public speaking, and good at standing their ground.
Probably because they underwent the same training.
But others doesn't know that. For them, it is simply coincidental.
Once their classes ended, they made their way towards the music club. Jay was accompanying Nst as they entered the room.
When the door opened, Sunghoon quickly stopped what he was doing and turned to look at them. He nodded at the two and they made their way inside. It seems as if it already started.
Jay could barely contain his laugh. The princess was trying so hard to keep a poker face as the student who is auditioning is failing at playing the piano. Natalia is a piano prodigy.
Jay was having a hard time, especially once he finally saw Natalia cringe when the student pressed the wrong key. He bit his lip to not laugh when he saw Natalia clenching her fist. Natalia let out a breath of relief once the student finished auditioning.
"Natalia." Sunghoon called. If Nat was being honest, she wasn't prepared in any way, shape, or form. She just sighed as she sat down infront of the piano.
She just shrugged. She wanted to play a simple song but as she scanned the room, she saw Hana. There was no way in hell she'll have Hana her victory.
"Please begin, Natalia."
Nat was surprised by his tone. It was professional, unlike the flirty tone he always had. She cleared her throat. Hana was clearly saying bad things about her. Sunghoon made his move to confront her when Nat began playing.
"La Campanella.." Sunghoon wispered in awe. The entire room went silent as Nat's fingers moved seamlessly along the keys. Her fingers dancing along the melodies. This is one of the things Sunghoon doesn't know about her.
Jay smiled proudly. If he was being honest, he was only here to protect the two of them incase of any threat. King Yoongi entered him at this school so he'll be closer at the two.
Sunghoon just stared in awe. Natalia looked heavenly as she played. Her wavy hair moving perfectly as air lightly brushed them. Her face in a calm and comforting manner. It was visible that she was very confident in herself and in her talent.
As she finished playing, she ignored their gasps and surprise as she sat down next to Jay as if nothing happened. Jay was called next, he stood up and made his way towards the stage. He grabbed one of the electric guitars.
Jay tried to strum it and it was clearly out of tune.
"Really?"
Sunghoon looked at him innocently.
Sunghoon gave him time to tune it.
"Ready?" He asked. Jay nodded and Sunghoon gave him a thumbs up. Jay took a deep breath as he began playing an AC/DC song.
Sunghoon chuckled.
He dropped his notebook and grabbed a bass guitar, easily catching up to Jay.
"Natalia, if you don't play right now I will personally pull you up here." Jay said through the mic.
Natalia rolled her eyes and made her way back to the stage.
At this time, more and more students began to gather inside the room.
Jay was the last to audition. Meaning, the auditions were techincally over.
Now, they were just enjoying a free concert. The other music club members began to take their instruments and played.
"Natalia." Sunghoon said through the mic once more.
Natalia grabbed the drumsticks and began playing the drums. Sunghoon smirked as he watched her.
They finished their small performance and was greeted by applause. There were compliments getting thrown here and there.
Natalia closed her eyes as she sat next to Sunghoon in the car back to the palace.
"You play the piano?" Sunghoon decided to break the silence.
"Huh?" Nat opened her eyes and blinked sleepily. "Yes. Mom taught me when I was younger." She said
"Why not violin? Most royals would learn it instead of piano." Sunghoon asked once more.
"That's because its my t-"
Natalia stopped talking.
"Your who?"
Natalia ignored what he asked. Her heart dropped and pounded louder than it ever did. Fortunately, they reached the palace. Natalia ignored his questions as she entered the palace.
She held unto the locket on her neck the entire night.
