3 Accidents

Today was Shaun's day off, but Neil had work today. Shaun decided to go out for groceries. The closest supermarket was only a mile away. He could walk.
And so after feeding his alpha and sending Neil to work, Shaun set off.

He noticed that the day was very beautiful. The birds were happily chirping and it was 10 in the morning, 4 hrs since Neil had left for work.

As he walked into the store, he saw that there weren't many people there, only about 4 including himself and the cashier. He assumed it was because it was supposed to be a working day.

About 20 mins later, A suspicious man entered the store he was wearing all black and a hood. Suddenly the man pulled out a gun

"Everyone put your hands up!. " He shouted. Shaun was scared.
"I've got 5 bullets in here, and I am looking to spread some blood today" The man said he shot one bullet into the ground to prove his point. "Now I've got 4.hAha" The evil man laughed.

Shaun calmed himself, and thought about his 4 years training in the police. He might be young, but he took his training seriously. He remembered the way to get a gun out of a person's hand.
Kick stomach. Punch face. Push on ground. Snatch. He breathed in and out .

Suddenly there were a shot heard. The girl standing in front of him fell. Before he could do anything, the man shot again. Shit. This time the bullet hit Shaun in his abdomen. But Shaun could tolerate pain.

Before the man could do anything more, Shaun jumped into action. He ran to the man and kicked him in the stomach. The man fell to the ground. Shaun punched him but the man again shot a bullet. Before the bullet hit someone, Shaun got in its way. He, in one swift movement snatched the gun away. He started giving instructions to the father of the girl while holding the man at gun point.

He looked around and evaluated all that got hurt. The girl had a gunshot wound the cashier had taken a few punches and the security guard outside was bleeding.

"Your bleeding! " The cashier said to Shaun.
"I know. I am dr. Shaun Murphy. First off all we need to take care of the others.call 911" Shaun said. However hurt he may be-he took an oath when he became a doctor and he was in the police force . His first priority was to keep everyone else safe.

As the ambulances arrived, the cashier told them all that happened, and Shaun even in such a critical condition, still gave them the medical opinion on what happened. He stuttered and kept slipping into unconsciousness, but still persevered in make sure everyone else was safe, before telling them about himself. He fell unconscious soon after that.

At the hospital, before Shaun arrived.
"Everyone, there are 3 ambulances arriving. There was a shooter incident there are 3 critically injured and they'll be arriving within 20 mins. We have been provided the cctv footage to understand the severity of the situation. Apparently the most critically injured requested they come here. The cctv footage has been sent to all of you here. Please watch it and tell us if you know anyone. "Dr.lim said
Neil opened his phone and saw the footage on a notification. He watched it again and again and again. The brave man, the doctor who was injured was Shaun. His Shaun.

When he looked up with tears in his eyes, he noticed everyone looking at him.
He choked a sob. He couldn't cry now.

"Prepare all OR 1,2 and 3" Dr lim said to the nurses.
"Claire, Jared and Morgan. Please assist the 3 ORs " Neil said trying to keep his voice from breaking.

Alex came to him. "Oh Neil. Come here." The taller man said to him. Alex engulfed Neil in a hug. "It's okay... He'll be ok... We will save him... Just focus on how brave he was.. " Neil started sobbing.
