8 I love you.

Neil was sitting on his couch, watching TV. It was his day off and he chose to relax.

As he stared at the news, his mind started to wander. He had almost asked Shaun to come to his house yesterday. But he got to nervous. Shaun was tall, lean, he had abbs, and muscles. Shaun was built like a Greek god. It was really hard to watch him work out, having the desire to run his hands on Shaun's shirtless body.

Suddenly, there was a ring at the door, Neil got up from the couch, standing on his tip toes to see through the little hole.
He caught sight of those blue eyes, and immediately, the door was opened.

"Hey Shaun! " Neil smiled at him, touching up his hair. "Wanna come in? "
"No. I don't have time" Shaun spoke in a fast way, in a tone Neil knew meant he was sad. "I need you to listen, because this might be the last time you see me. "
Shaun took a few deep breaths. Neil knitted his eyebrows together, was Shaun..... Was he moving from here?
"I have to tell you. Im sorry. I know you didn't like me, and I know I am annoying.
I know it is hard to put up with me. I'm sorry. " Before Neil could say something, Shaun interrupted him, speaking again
"I love you."Neil gasped at that" I have since I first saw you. And I will. Always. " Neil looked into Shaun's eyes, they held this deep sadness, but at the same time, also deep adoration. Suddenly, Shaun pulled him into a hug. As they relaxed against each other, Shaun slowly pulled away. One of Shaun's hands went to Neils face, briefly brushing against his lips.
"May I?" Shaun tilted his head, looking up from Neils lips. Neil took a sharp breath in, before nodding. "Yes please"

Shaun leaned in, one of his hands going to Neils waist, and the other behind Neils head. As their lips touched, Neil felt a spark. It was a short, but sweet kiss, and they both savoured it. " I love you. I have to go" Shaun pressed a kiss against his forehead, before going back down the hallway. "Come to the hospital today evening? " Shaun asked, before turning the corner. " Y-yeah. " Neil replied. And just like that, Shaun was gone.

In the evening, Neil got himself together, going for something casual, but comfortable as he got ready to go to the hospital. Why did shaun call him there?

Nonetheless, he entered the hospital, shocked to find Claire, Morgan, Jared, hell even Alex crying, as Dr. Lim told them about something.

"What happened? " He asked, walking to there. " Oh Neil. " Claire hugged him tight. "It's shaun. He has an inoperable tumor in his brain" Jared said, wiping tears off his face.
"Wh-"  Neil tensed up, his breathing getting heavier. "No" His eyes started to fill with tears, at the thought of shaun not being there. They had gone through so much together for the past 3 years.
They had just kissed this morning. No. Shaun was his chosen alpha, this can't be happening. No.
" Let's go see him" Alex wiped his own face, still holding Morgan to his chest.
"Yeah" Jared said, rubbing Claire's back.
Dr.lim held her hand out, giving Neil a sad smile. "Come on" Neil took his best friends hand, as he walked to room 414.

As he entered the room, he saw Shaun sitting on the bed. He let out a broken sob, when Shaun gave him a smile and opened his arms. Neil almost ran, as he took the hug. "No. This is all a prank, right. Morgan planned it. " He said, still in Shaun's arms. "I'm sorry baby doe. "
Shaun rubbed Neil's back. " I chose you.
You-you can't just leave me here. " Neil sobbed. "I know, baby doe. I know" Shaun comforted Neil, giving the others a sad smile.

Soon, Neil calmed a little by his side.
"I need test results. Stat. " Neil walked out, taking everything he needed. 
Claire and Jared came over, as they took a few broken breaths, before hugging Shaun. "I hate you so much. " Claire sniffled. "I love you too Claire"Shaun said
As Claire chuckled even with tears in her eyes. " Don't do this to us, man" Jared tilted his head, with a sad expression on his face. "Oh Shaun. We had so many plans. We still don't have any best friend kiddos yet. You can't go... " Alex said.
"Who's gonna explain each of my pranks in detail? " Morgan said. "I'll tell them before I go. I've got a few more weeks. "
Shaun looked around at all these people that loved him. How'd he get like this?
As soon as he got this love back in his life, he's the one leaving.
