Kunimi Akira. He was now in the third year of the high school. He'll be gratuating soon. Still was playing volleyball with his friend Kindaichi. All his upperclassmen had gratuated. He would never admited but he miss them a lot. He had a lot of beautiful memories with them. It's weird not seeing them every day like he used to.
He was now walking home from late practice with Kindaichi. He was kinda spacing out and didn't notice the taller calling his name.
"Yo Kunimi!" his friend shouted next to his ear.
"Hey! What's your problem?"
"I've been calling your name for a past two minutes." Kindaichi rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
"As I was saying. Tsukishima told me that the King didn't show up to school for almost two months."
"What?" Kunimi turned to him in surprise.
"Yeah, shocking right?" Kindaichi laughed. "I don't care about what the King is doing. At least he's not bullying others with his shitty personality. He's not a good example for the uderclassmen."
"I guess... Did anyone try to contact him?" Kunimi quietly said.
"No. Why would they? They are happy that he's not there." Kindaichi laughed again.
"..."
"Well see ya. Good night." the taller waved as they reached his house.
"Bye."
Kunimi was feeling uneasy. Even if he didn't like Kageyama, something was bothering him. Why no one asked about him? Why no one knew anything about him? What if something bad had happened? If he didn't come to school for more than a month, it's not normal. But they didn't search for him. Nobody cares about him.
"Where are you, Kageyama..."
When he came home his mom was packing some food.
"Hi Akira. Dad just had a small injury and went to hospital. He fell down the stairs. Do you want to go visit him with me?" she greeted him.
"Yeah, of course I go." he was worried.
"Don't worry. It not anything bad. He called me and said that he just broke his leg. He sounded fine." she smiled.
"Oh okay. What a relief."
***
"Hello there." his dad brightly smiled at them.
"You look fine." Kunimi said.
"Of course, it's not anything serious. They told me to rest here for two weeks. I will at least have a rest from work." he proudly said.
"Weirdo."
"Don't call your father's that." his mom rolled her eyes and gave her husband the food.
"And also I saw a boy, I think he's the same age as Akira. Poor boy has cancer and he's giving a hard time to nurses. The doctor told me that he still can't accept the fact, that he's sick. He still wants to do so many things."
"Oh my. That's so bad. Being sick in such a young age. I hope he'll get well soon."
