"Kageyama..."
"What are you doing here?" the boy asked him.
"No, what are YOU doing here?" Kunimi asked as he got closer to the bed.
"Just chilling here." Kageyama looked at his hands on his lap.
"No, don't say it, like it's someting good. Why are you here?" Kunimi asked again trying to keep his calm.
"..."
Kageyama didn't say anything. He looked out of the window.
"The sky is beautiful isn't it?" he whispered. "I wish I could see it more."
Kunimi didn't responded and just sat on the chair next to the bed.
"It's not fair." Tobio's eyes started to tear up. "But I guess I deserve it."
"Kags..."
"I have cancer Kunimi." Kageyama finally turned his head fully on Kunimi. Tears were streaming out his eyes. "I'm dying."
"..."
"I don't know how much time left I still have." he whispered.
"T-Tobio." Kunimi also felt his eyes watering.
"I wanted to do so many things." he continued. "I wanted to play volleyball. I wanted to see so many countries. I wanted to adopt a cat."
"Tobio-"
"But I guess, God chose me to suffer."
At that moment Kunimi couldn't do it anymore and hugged the boy tightly.
"I'm- I'm so sorry." Kageyama cried on his shoulders.
"No, don't appologise. Please..." Kunimi could feel the tears on his cheeks.
They stayed in the hug for good fifteen minutes.
"How- How long have you been here?" Kunimi asked as he pull himslef outh of the hug, didn't want to hurt Tobio more.
"Two months now." Kageyama wiped his eyes.
"Why nobody from Karasuno knows about this?"
"I didn't tell them. But they don't care. I didn't recieve a single messege asking about me. They just want to know if I would be present in the matches to nationals." he tried to smile.
"Tobio..."
"I'm happy that someone came to visit me. You know seeing someone before dying." he finally smiled.
"No... please don't say that." Kunimi was dening the fact.
"Heh sorry." Tobio chuckled.
They stayed in silence. Kunimi was sitting in his room for hours. When it was time to visitors to leave, Kunimi finally stood up.
"I guess this is our last time seeing each other. Take care of yourself Kunimi." Kageyama smiled at him.
"What do you mean?" Kunimi looked into those ocean eyes. "This isn't my last visit. I'll come see you again tomorrow."
Kageyama just blinked suprised and then softly nodded. "Thank you.."
Kunimi waved at him and left the room. On the way from the hospital he burst out crying. He cried the whole way home.
"Oh my god. What happened sweetie?" his mother rushed to him when she saw him entering with tears running down his cheeks.
Kunimi slowly got to his knees and cried loudly. His mom immediately hugged him as he sobbed into his hands. She could see the pain in those cries. But the only thing she could do right now is supporting her son.
