**requested chapter**

Y/N, now 12 years old, had recently returned home after three years at a boarding school. It was her very first day of homeschooling, and she was feeling a whirlwind of emotions – a mixture of excitement about being back with her mom, Taylor, and a tad bit of worry about what her mom-teacher would be like.

Seated at the kitchen table, Y/N had all her books and notebooks laid out, ready for the day's lessons. She glanced around the room, her heart doing somersaults of anticipation. She had missed her mom so much, and now she was eager to dive into this new phase of her education.

All of a sudden, Taylor strolled into the room, her warm smile immediately putting Y/N at ease. "Good morning, my precious. Ready for your first day of homeschooling?"

Y/N beamed back at her mom and nodded. "Yes, Mom. I'm excited, but I'm also kinda nervous."

Taylor pulled up a chair across from Y/N, her loving gaze locked onto her daughter's eyes. "Don't you worry, sweetie. I want you to know that I won't be a strict teacher. We're going to take this journey together, at your pace, and I'm right here to support and guide you every step of the way."

A sense of relief washed over Y/N, and she let out a sigh. "Phew, that's good to hear. I was scared you'd be like those teachers my friends complain about."

Taylor let out a warm chuckle and reached over to squeeze Y/N's hand. "Nah, we're gonna make this learning thing fun, and there's no such thing as a 'silly' question. We'll enjoy this homeschooling adventure together, you'll see."

Feeling grateful for her mom's understanding, Y/N couldn't help but express herself. "Thanks, Mom. I'm really lucky to have you as my teacher."

Taylor's eyes softened with love, and she leaned in to plant a kiss on Y/N's forehead. "Nah, I'm the lucky one to have you as my student. Now, let's dive into our first lesson. Always remember, I'm right here to help you out, my love."

And so, their homeschooling journey began, with Y/N realizing that, with her mom as her teacher, learning was not just about school stuff; it was an opportunity to grow together and to cherish the unique bond they shared.
