A warm breeze blew the short strands of hair on the back of Nora Valkyrie's neck.

Even though she wore a blindfold over her eyes, she knew her outfit was picked with care for today's little adventure. A light pink knee-length skirt, with two bright blue bows on the side with white leggings underneath. A short sleeve white shirt, with slightly puffed sleeves that had soft pink dots on it. She managed to put on a bit of concealer, blush, pink eyeshadow, and lip gloss before she left the house. Her small white boots with pink laces kept walking forward.

"How much longer until I can remove the blindfold?" Nora asked. Her ears were either heating up to the late spring warmth or at the thought of other people nearby who may be noticing her.

Lie Ren's mellow voice spoke up from behind her, his hand on her elbow, "Almost there. Just a few more steps."

Nora sniffed the air, a slight smell causing her to salivate a little bit, "I still have my nose, which has an amazing ability to pick up any scent."

Ren let out a light chuckle. Nora felt him pull gently on her elbow, giving it a squeeze, and the two stopped walking.

Ren swiftly removed the blindfold.

Nora gazed around her before she looked down at the ground.

A large pink, plaid blanket was spread out. On top, was a brown and white picnic basket with the similar pattern lined around and inside. A variety of containers of salads, sandwiches, and fruits were spread out. There were two thermoses laid neatly on a set of plates and napkins. A small plate of cookies, some regular shape and the others with hearts and pink sprinkles.

Ren was moving to set out plates and cups, and Nora managed to get a decent view of his outfit. Ren wore a plain green short sleeve shirt. It was unbuttoned, showing a plain white t-shirt underneath. He wore a long necklace with a lotus flower, a gift she had given to him last Christmas. He paired off the look with a pair of white pants, and black loafers. His long black hair, with its magenta stripe, was braided.

Just like how she braided it before their patrols in Atlas.

Nora lightly touched the scars that faded onto her skin.

"Nora?"

Ren was holding a plate, a slightly worried look on his face. "Is everything okay?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah Ren." Nora said, a small bit of heat rising in her cheeks.

She walked over quickly and sat down on the blanket. "This is all so sweet of you to put together."

Ren smiled and handed her the plate. "I got all your favorites here. Please, help yourself."

Nora helped herself to the fresh salad, the bright and dark greens that were dotted with radishes, orange carrots, red tomatoes, and more greens of cucumbers and sugar snap peas. The sandwiches came in two flavors: one with brie, roast beef, green lettuce and a spicy sauce, the other had roasted tomatoes, a pesto sauce, and cheese, all slathered together against two toasty sandwich rolls. The fruit included fresh strawberries, blueberries, sliced peaches, apples, pears, and covered in a sweet honey sauce. The soft sugar cookies stayed on a plate between the two of them.

Ren opened a thermos and poured out some pink lemonade and handed the cup to Nora.

Nora accepted it, watching as Ren opened the other thermos. "So, what did you bring?" she teased.

He smiled slightly, pouring a light green liquid into his cup, "Green tea, of course."

Nora giggled, holding her cup to her lips, "Sounds delish! You really did think of everything."
