This is stupid," Nate swings his feet at the ground, kicking up dirt and debris around him. With his hands in his pockets he walks around in circles, debating. I could just kill them on the spot, his thoughts drift from what Vrish told him, knowing full well they were to arrive at the designated spot alive.
Nate debates sitting on the ground where he stands but decides it's a bad decision, knowing all too well what the flowers have in store for him, instead he continues to pace around, thinking about his next move. Nate is currently standing in a plane of frozen, glistering flowers in the dimension of Hot and Cold. Not too far from a small, though he knew it wasn't truly small, shop in the distance, only a couple hundred yards away. That's where he knows the two newbies will be coming from, just over the hill and past the shop, he knows where the portal normally spawns, giving him a slight advantage.
Was it really a good idea meeting them in this dimension? Nate thinks to himself, once again debating if he should take a different course of action. Whatever, I'm not gonna travel to the next one just to be sitting on my ass the whole time. I don't have time for that. Getting up, Nate starts to warm up, preparing to do his stretching routine before heading to a nearby repair shop to see if they can get his axe fixed. Arms above his head, Nate feels his back popping from the lack of stretching he's done in the past few days. Patting his jet-black hair down, it somehow becomes more ruffled and unkempt, yet it also appears to be unable to knot, making it a fluffy, black mess. He doesn't mind that his only superpower is amazing hair, maybe it will eventually come in handy.
Nate begins to shake his arms out, preparing for the actual stretching, not just the warm up. Most people think that contortionists are mainly female, and they're right, most of them are, but for Nate, he realised how being able to stretch your body farther than you should be allowed really helps in battle. Dodging is like a piece of cake when you can just fold in half in an instant. And while Nate normally does a full, proper warm up session that can last several minutes, doing it in an open place like this isn't a good idea, considering you have no clue who's gonna be watching you.
It would be hella awkward if someone walked in on me with my butt in the air like a lunatic. So a few simple stretches will have to do. Although, doing actual poses is the exact same thing... I'll just settle on a bridge type thing then. Walking around for a bit, Nate finds a good, even spot and places his hands on his lower back, preparing for a back walkover. Raising his hands, he bends backwards, the moment his hands touch the ground he has his feet swing up and over his body until his feet connect with the ground again, now standing upright, a few feet from where he originally started. He drops his hands. Didn't even break a sweat, I still got it. Thinking that was enough, Nate takes a look around until he finds his bag holding all his stuff, his axe laying just a few feet from it. The axe is a unique winsor blue, the ends of the blade dipping in slightly, and the blade portion of the axe having a slight glow whenever it is swung around. And Nate being Nate, he always carries more than one weapon at a time, sometimes carrying around four, maybe more on his person alone. On the belt strapped to his waist was a gun, not some typical mortal gun that blasted silver balls, no, this one takes the energy around him and shapes into a baseball sized ball of energy. Able to kill armies in an instant when it explodes on impact. He rarely uses the gun, it's merely for safe keeping, but he has used it, once, and has been hesitant ever since. The gun has a longer barrel than your typical handgun, also encased with a slightly greener winsor blue where the energy normally confines itself into until release, giving off a night light type of effect. Perfect for the kids.
Collecting his stuff, Nate double checks to make sure he isn't missing anything, Pew pew stick? Check. Sandwich slicer? Check. Knives in the socks? Check. I think that's everything. Looking around one final time, he makes sure nothing of value is left behind before he starts walking. Nate walks in the direction of the repair shop, walking farther away from the little house with each step.
He travels what feels like a few blocks, but in this place, there is no such thing. it would take the average adventurer a long while to make it even a few hundred yards with all the flowers littered about. But not with Nate, he grew up here so he knows how to traverse without being seen and without stepping on those blasted flowers. The only people he could think of that are as good as him are the albino twins, them with their stupid capes. Who even designed their costumes? That's all they are after all, costumes to play dress up like the children they are. Nate remembers encountering the albino twins once, and it is possible to tell them apart, once you got to know them that is. Albino number one is the scrawny one, he's quick, intelligent, and has a snarky sense of humor, especially when it comes to torture.
