I am feeling a little concerned about one of my co-workers, they always come to work with a bad cough, and end up taking a smoking break every 10 minutes. One day, they were gone more than usual... As I go to check on them in the break room, I notice there is smoke literally everywhere. I can barely see into the room, so I call out to my co-worker. They don't respond, expected. I walk into the room, feeling around blindly.

I finally put my hands on this cylindrical object. I get a grip on it and pick it up. It's a ball, ejecting smoke? I put it in a box and close it, stopping the smoke from spreading. I open the window and let the smoke clear up. It took around 5 to 10 minutes for the smoke to clear up. Why was there a smoke bomb even in this room? Did my co-worker put it there?

Suddenly, I hear something inside of a little space underneath a table. I look underneath and open the table doors, and find something shocking... There is a creature shaking inside, trying to get out... I try to close it but the creature took that advantage and quickly ran out, and out of the room.

I start chasing after it, as it could be potentially dangerous or hostile. It didn't seem to focus on attacking anything though, only trying to escape. I yell out to my other co-workers to make sure there are no exits or windows opened. I want to try to catch this thing and see what it is and what it did to my co-worker.

The lab is pretty big, with many long hallways, so we were going to try to corner it whenever we had the chance. It kept running and cutting corners on us. We eventually cornered it, but it would probably try to "juke" us. Someone grabbed it's tail, and it ended up biting them. After a few minutes, we were able to get the creature into confinement, but the person who grabbed it's tail started vomiting...

Smoke started coming out of the person's ears, nose, and mouth... The smoke eventually started spreading around the room, and we put them into a room and closed it to run tests. We were able to clear the smoke but we don't know what was going on with them... That person started transforming into a creature similar to the one we caught... Coincidentally, the smoke smelled like cigarettes.

I guess now we know how this creature was formed, but we don't know what caused it. We were planning to keep these creatures in confinement, as we don't know if they're hostile, but their bite is contagious. If you are near smoke, try not to breathe it in too much.
