~Ivy~

He's actually walking towards me with what looks suspiciously like a shopping bag.

Now, you would think that my surprise doesn't really make any sense since I basically begged him to get me a pair of heels from the store. Still not very proud of that but desperate times, desperate measures. I hope he doesn't hold it against me.

To be fair, although I asked Zavier to do me this favour, I never really expected him to come back bearing shoes. I didn't expect him to return at all.

So when I see him all long legged and sparkly eyed, it kind of caught me off guard.

Zavier stops just in front of me with the bag outstretched in front of me. I take it, rather incredulously. It actually feels like shoes.

I pry open the bag, and there, is actual shoes. "Yes, Ivy they're actual shoes." He chimes with a shake of his head. They're shoes but they're not the ones I hoped for.

"I knew your kindness was going to fall short." I start taking my other shoes off. I don't need to see his face to know he's arching an eyebrow.

"What'd you expect? It to be wrapped in a bow?" I straighten and bring the shoes to his eye level so he can truly see the death traps he brought for me to parade around in front of half the hotel.

"There's most likely wedges back there and you chose the 6 inch heels?" My eyes bounce around the hall for anything I can sit on. I can't get on these sticks while standing.

"Honestly, I took the first one I saw." He shrugs. His lips quirk to the sides so quick I barely see it. I heard he got surgery done on it. And while I don't believe these baseless, proofless rumours, his lips are shaped way too perfectly to be real. It's the best part of his face.

"A very guy thing to do."

"You know what's not a girl thing to do? Bringing one pair of shoes to a convention."

"Okay, first I'm not like the other girls." Zavier shrugs his shoulder slightly but doesn't protest, which is not the reaction I thought would be. It's like he's not denying it. "Two, it's a two days seminar. I brought a pair of heels and sneakers." I wobble and Zavier stretches out a hand to hold me. It's a kind gesture but a very suspicious one. I will expect to see him attempt to send me on my face. Still, I use him for balance and get the shoes on.

I start walking in the direction of the seminar. It's time and Zavier came right on time. I toss the shoes in a bin then swiftly turn around. I don't expect to see Zavier so close behind me. It kind of takes me aback. "Thanks for helping me out." His lips twitches, softly. I fight the urge to narrow my eyes at him.

"You look great in those heels." He juts his chin out at the shoes, a small smile forming on his lips.

I transfer my weight to my left leg and fold my hands on my chest. "I suppose you have good taste." I shrug and that stupid smile of his turns into a smirk. Ew. I quickly turn on my heels and strut away as fast as my legs on sticks can.

I found that guys who smirk come across as creepy or annoying. Zavier smirks and all I see is danger.

All I see is red.

The interview continues and I must say it is going way better than the first half. Zavier is no longer trying to one up me and so we fall into this dynamic that has everyone interested in Kersher Academy.

Everything was truly going well until that one reporter ruins it. They get on my last good nerves. "One more question for you before you leave, Ivy." We're all tired and starving. Let us be. "How do you feel about the Nathan situation?" Zavier quickly looks over at me, probably interested in my answer like everyone in here now is. Can't say I didn't see this question coming. The cameras start flashing more frequently than they did before. I remain quiet. "It was a really big thing a few days ago and we'll really like to hear your take on it." Zavier fixes his mic and positions himself to speak.
