They had us take the test in school. The IQ test, that is. We all figured it was just normal school curriculum, that nothing would come of it.
We were wrong.
I made okay grades in school. Almost all A's and B's, with the occasional C in Latin. Never a D, never a failing grade, even on tests. My biggest problem was not turning in homework.
The test was like a regular standardized test. No different. The IQ test was just going to be sent to our parents, or so we were told.
A few days after processing my test, I got my score back, 191. A point higher than Albert Einstein.
"Harper, that's fantastic!" Said my mom rubbing my shoulders.
I nodded, I didn't really care what my IQ was.
"You got 91 points higher than the second highest IQ in your class." Said my dad slowly.
I nodded again.
If I had known what my test was going go entail for me, I would of purposely bombed it. Drew Christmas trees all over it or something.
Hind-sight's 20/20 I guess.
