(Y/n) p.o.v
It's been months since they locked me in my apartment. Thank god for my tendency to over stock food. Even if I have already gone through most of it. I'm so hungry, but I don't have much left. Let me explain. A few months ago, we were told about a parasite in the water. Since then, they have locked everyone who drank the water in apartments. They took blood samples and gave us a few shots but they haven't returned. They don't bring us food, they don't bring us anything. Just empty hope to be able to leave one day. They only check to make sure we are alive. But I'm not even sure if they want us alive. I heard a guard talking, about my neighbors. They haven't gotten any food since they were identified as AB.. I think it's our blood types. They said they would bring them food, but hearing them scream about their hunger tells me they haven't gotten anything. They left us to die. I know I have food I could give them, but it's not much. Packing up what little food I could spare. I placed it in a small basket. I quickly jotted a note down, with my number. Just incase they needed something. Taking the basket, I walk out onto my balcony. Telling by the distance, I couldn't throw it. I was weak. Looking around, I found a small plank of wood. It's old and worn, but so am I. Placing the plank down, I crossed the gap. Placing the basket onto their balcony, I quickly check to make sure no one saw me before going back. I took the plank of wood and placed it back in it's place before going back into my home. "Everything is so fucked!" I shouted out. This isn't fair. Why are we being punished like this, for the mistake of the water company? I sighed, cleaning my thoughts before moving to what little food I had left. Instant noodles, eggs, microwaveable meals.. not much. But it's what I have. Picking up a pack of noodles, I opened it and placed water into it. Putting the bowl in the microwave, I set a timer and sat on my couch. Turning on the TV at a low volume. I was able to hear a gasp from outside. It seems they found the basket. I hope they enjoy what I had to offer. After eating my meal I laid down, immediately passing out. I don't know how long I was out. All I know, is that I'm so tired. Stumbling my way to my ringing phone, I answer. "..Hello?" I asked into the phone. "Hey." A male voice replied. It seems he wasn't expecting me to answer. "W..what could I help you with?" I asked. "Thanks...for the food." He mumbled. Humming, I sighed. "It's.. no problem. Just don't expect anymore. That's all I can give without dying." I said plainly into the phone. My voice sounding tired. He didn't respond to that. But I was able to hear someone calling for him. "Andy! Food!" A female voice spoke. "Call again when you want, Andy." I said as I hung up. Placing the phone down, I laid on my couch. TV spewing nonsense about us getting food. What bullshit. Not too much time passed before I found myself waking to another phone call. What is with people calling me today. Sitting up, I lazily answer the phone. "Hello?"
"Who is this?!" A feminine voice shouted. I could hear the male, Andy, trying to grab the phone. "I'm (Y/n)...your neighbor..not the one who plays the weird music." I spoke before entering a coughing fit. "Why does my brother have your number? Huh?" I could tell she was pouting by her tone. "I placed it in the basket of food I left on your balcony. Just incase I could help more..." The young woman seemed stunned. "You...gave us your food?"
"Not all of it, but most of it. That's all I had to offer. I could hear you both banging and yelling about being hungry. It seemed like the best option.." The young woman huffed. "That was pretty dumb of you. What of we like, broke in to kill you over the rest of your food?" Sighing I spoke " I have a box of microwaveable kids meal and 2 eggs. That's all I have left..." The line went quiet before I heard the two siblings arguing. Suddenly a male voice took over the line. "Why give us so much?" Thinking for a moment, I replied "Because you went longer without eating. Simply, I'm going to try and get out of here. Either dead or alive." After my response both sibling were quiet before I could feel a girl sucking up her pride. "We want in! We want out of here too!" Humming, I spoke softly "Even if...someone has to die?"
