Interruption

rouge and shadow were casually walking (and flying) to their shared apartment after a mission at GUN. the white bat held a cigarette in her hand as they talked, once in a while letting shadow take a small huff of it.

"shadow!" a familiar voice yelled. it was the blue hero, he was running towards the two mobians.

"hmph." shadow grunted quietly to himself. "hey, blue!" rouge said, beaming flirtingly at the blue blur.

"hey! mind if I walk with you two?" sonic grinned, his gaze focusing on the black hedgehog with a teasing expression.

"n-"

"of course!~" the white bat interrupted the annoyed hybrid. He stared at her angrily but stayed quiet as sonic came closer to them both and walked with them.

after what seemed like hours to shadow, they arrived to his and rouges apartment-he thought they were finally gonna get rid of the annoying blue nuisance.
he was so wrong.

"hey rouge, mind if I steal shadz for a sec?" the azure hedgehog smirked.

"not at all! go do whatever, boys!~" she giggled, closing the door of the apartment behind her.

shadow looked at rouge in disbelief before sonic grabbed his wrist and took him to a nearby street where no one was.

"mmh..." the black one panted as his counterpart began nuzzling his neck. "really, in this rundown alley of all places?" shadow growled, sonic starting to kiss his collarbone. "maybee~"

they were both interrupted by a loud BANG; eggman was attacking.

"oh, come on!" the blue one threw his arms in the air out of annoyance and rolled his eyes. shadow was, on the other hand, glad.

both hedgehogs made their way to the scene and started fighting eggman, but sonic was pretty annoyed with this and it was obvious; he didnt have his usual cocky grin and smug attitude, he was just simply trying to get this fight over with.

"ill get you hedgehog, just wait!" eggman yelled his usual threats before escaping the scene with his eggmobile.

shadow was expecting sonics usual childish wink and fistbump, but he was just... not in the mood. 'wait, what the hell? is he still upset?' the hybrid wondered, though he didnt show his concerns.

"see ya later, shadz!" the blue hero tried to act like his usual self before running who knows where, but it was pretty dogshit.

the black hedgehog sighed quietly and angrily. "chaos, what a guy."
