"Okay, y'all, let's review what we've learned. What happens when a nexus event branches past red line?"

"Very bad things."

"Come on, Loki. What is it?"

Loki sighed and put the magazine of jet skies from Mobius down before answering. "It's when the TVA can no longer reset a nexus event. Okay? Boring." Then he lifted the magazine again.

"Right. And that would lead to the destruction of the timeline and the collapse of reality as we know it." Miss Minutes continued, causing Loki to lower the papers in his hand. "Can you hear me? Are you a recording? Or are you alive?"

"Uh, sorta both."

"Ah."

Loki looked to the side to see if anyone was around and could be watching, before trying to hit the little orange clock hologram, which quickly jumped away to stand on an hourglass.

"Watch it! Where's your manners?" She spoke before he tried again, causing her to jump away again.

"Oh! Hey! Quit it!"

And he tried again, until she easily jumped into the computer display.

"That is not nice. Jerk."

"You can't hide.."

"Training goin' well?" Mobius walked into the room, causing Loki to immediately turn to him and shut up.

"Yeah."

"He's trying to kill Miss Minutes." Hestia mumbled from her table, which was right next to Mobius', knowing that Loki didn't even register her seeing everything, while her chin rested on her arms that laid crossed on the table. "Is that my jet sky magazine? Put it down. Gear up. There's been an attack. Let's go."

Mobius placed a package into Loki's hands before walking away, causing Hestia to groan before standing up too and following him and the god.

Loki opened the little package and pulled a jacket out. "Put it on." The older man directed before the variant pulled the jacket on.

"Good. Yeah. Smart."

Hestia stood next to Loki with crossed arms and looked at the back of the jacket, causing a little smile to form on her face.

"C-20 and her team went dark shortly after they jumped into the 1985 branch. All signs point to another ambush. We've grabbed enough temporal aura to know it's our Loki Variant. But which kind of Loki, remains unknown." hunter B-15 explained while some of her hunters, Mobius, Loki and Hestia stood in the room, listening to her words.

"They're the lesser kind, to be clear." Loki said, causing everyone to turn to him and Hestia to raise an eyebrow.

B-15 sighed. "Let me see the back of that jacket."

The god looked down at himself confused before turning around slowly, causing little smiles to form on Mobius and the hunter's face. On the back stood in big letters: 'VARIANT'.

"Very subtle. Well done."

"I don't want anybody out there to forget what you are."

"Oh, your only hope of capturing a murderer?"

"No. A cosmic mistake."

"That's enough." Mobius spoke up.

"Lovely."

Mobius started explaining while his sister stood next to him, tired due to the fact that she hadn't gotten any proper sleep the night. "Here's the deal. When we get out on the branch, we're not just looking for a Time Criminal. We're looking for a Loki. A variation of this guy." He pointed to Loki, who was standing in the room with a raised eyebrow and his hands in his pockets. "A type we should all be very familiar with," a hologram of a Loki in his armor and with long hair appeared, causing the god to take a deep breath. "because the TVA has pruned a lot of these guys, almost more than any other Variant." It changed to a Loki in sport clothes. "And no two are alike. Slight differences in appearances, or not so slight." It changed again, but this time to a strong and very muscular looking Loki, causing the Loki that stood in the same room to be disturbed. "Different powers, although, generally include shape-shifting, illusion-projection, and my favorite..." "Duplication-casting." Loki cut Mobius off.

The hologram vanished. "Illusion-projection." The brother spoke again.

"No, they're two completely different powers."

"How?" "Illusion-projection involves depicting a detailed image from outside oneself, which is perceptible in the external world, whereas duplication-casting entails recreating an exact facsimile of one's own body in its present circumstance, which acts as a true holographic mirror of its molecular structure. But you already knew that."

Hestia had her mouth open, thinking that she's definitely too dumb for that.

"Okay, take a breath. Noted. We're gonna break into two teams, including myself and Professor Loki" Mobius spoke and looked down at his tem-pad. His sister let out a small whistle, causing him to turn up again, store the tem-pad in the inner pocket of his blazer and add the name of her. "and Hestia."

"Why?"

"Because whoever this Variant is, we haven't been able to find him. So let's bring in an expert." Mobius explained. Everyone turned to Loki.

"That's me."

"Do I get a weapon?"

"Nah."

"Well, I'll have my magic back. Is no one concerned about that?" Loki spoke while him and the siblings walked to the others.

"Of what?" Mobius asked clueless.

"Me betraying you."

"No."

Loki raised an eyebrow, he was clearly interested. "Why not?"

"You know that we can catch you. And how's betraying us gonna get you any closer to the Time-Keepers?"

He stopped walking, causing Loki to do the same and turn to him.

"An audience with the Time-Keepers is on the table?"

"Keep that focus."
