Willow Wilson was always a good student. She never broke any rules, she always aced her classes, and she never caused any trouble. She was the shining sophomore at Palm Valley high school.
Aden Parker on the other hand was the exact opposite. He was Palm Valleys biggest trouble maker. Nearly getting kicked out of school five times. Aden never liked rules. He felt like they were restricting. Like a prison but everyone was still free. He didn't really see a reason to follow them.
Most people were surprised Aden never just dropped out, but Aden's strict parents would never let that happen. They forced Aden to attend school. Aden didn't mind though. School to him was like a playing field. He was very popular particularly with the ladies. There wasn't a girl Aden Parker couldn't get his hands on and there wasn't a girl who didn't want her hands on him.
Well besides Willow. It's not like Willow wasn't interested in Aden. She was always so focused on her studies that she never really noticed him. Sure she'd see noticeably attractive guy and she heard the whispers the girls would say about him. She just never really cared. Willow wasn't allowed to date anyway. Her dad was very strict on that despite her having no interest.
Willow wasn't very noticeable in school. Sure she was pretty but she wasn't necessarily flashy. It's not like she didn't want to be. She just never had the courage to dress like the other girls. She wanted to wear makeup and do fancy styles, but doing so in the past caused her to be bullied and mocked. So she gave up and resorted to just blending in.
With the paths Willow and Aden were going in life you'd think they'd never meet or cross paths. They were polar opposites destined to never meet. That was until Aden somehow made it into AP biology. For a boy who didn't try in school he sure aced all of his tests. Still though Aden and Willow still managed to avoid each other.
Although Willow did notice him more. Aden didn't really fit in with the rest of the class. While everyone was so focused on diligently working Aden had other things in mind. He'd flirt with all the other girls and play games in his phone. He and the teacher would always butt heads.
Willow always questioned how he got in the class. Sure being a troublemaker doesn't mean you're not smart enough but he was so disruptive. Did he did really care to be here? Willow thought.
When it came to class projects every girl in the class would beg to be his partner. Despite the fact that he was known for not doing any of the work. Most girls were fine with that. I mean it was Aden Park after all. The hottest guy in school. Willow was among the few that weren't fine with it. Willow didn't care how hot Aden was. The thought of having a lazy partner always bothered her. Aden on the other hand was fine with this arrangement. He knew his looks had always given him a privilege in life. People were always just nice to him and many offered to do things for him just to get in his good graces.
So the day the biology teacher paired them together for the biggest project of the year two very different reactions were had. Willow on one hand was devastated. She knew she couldn't do this project alone. She had other responsibilities outside of this class. She knew Aden would be no help. Aden on the other hand was ecstatic.
See while Willow barely noticed Aden. Aden had always noticed her.
I mean how could he not. Her name was always called for school awards. She was on every honor roll list the school put up. She was the only girl in the class he never flirted with. She was also insanely beautiful to him. While most guys never paid her much attention she was always on Aden's mind. From the moment he saw her except an science award in freshman year. She was a personal mission for him. He wanted to try talking to her but he noticed they never really saw each other in the hall. He knew they had no classes together and there social groups never really mixed. She never showed up to any of the parties people would throw. She was like a ghost. Only appearing a few times out of the year.
So when Aden saw her sitting in the back of his biology class he knew it was his chance. Aden spent the first quarter trying to catch her attention. He disrupt the class or purposely argue with the teacher. This didn't seem to work. In fact it looked like it annoyed her. Aden really didn't know how to go about this. Most of the time he'd just talk to a girl she'd be into him, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself so talk to her. He'd try a few times but even when he asked her to borrow a pencil he'd jumble his words.
Aden didn't know how this was possible. She'd just look at him and he'd feel weird. Like there was a lump in his throat or bugs in his stomach. This was a feeling Aden had never felt before. I was different but he liked it. This project was the start of Willow and Aden.
Initially when they started working together Willow wasn't pleased. She fully expected Aden to not pull his weight, but to her surprise he did. The more the project went on the closer they got. And soon enough Willow was just as In love with Aden as he was with her.
Not long after they were official. Willow and Aden became somewhat of an IT couple, despite Willow hating the attention. She was dating Aden Park though so attention was something she had to get used to.
Willow and Aden were happy. Until Aden wasn't. Senior year in high school changed Aden. He started to miss the freedom of dating he saw his friends having. Going to party's, and sneaking into clubs to meet different kinds of women. Aden was only 18 after all. He should be experiencing it he thought. Sure he loved Willow but what she didn't know won't hurt her.
And so began a new era for Aden park. By the end of first semester he had been with nine different girls. Eventually word got out, And it fell on the ears of Willow Wilson. She was heart broken, devastated even. How could the boy she had loved. The boy who had made her feel like he loved her do this to her.
She didn't wanna believe it, but Willow wasn't dumb. She had noticed a change in Adens behavior. She just chose to ignore it because she was in love. Aden was colder and more distant. She noticed him staring at girls in the hallway and sometimes he'd just ignore her for days. Willow wasn't dumb but she was stupid in love.
So when word got how of Aden's wrong doings she ignored it. Acted like it wasn't happening, but on the first day back after winter break. When Willow found Aden in a supply closet with a girl from their old biology class. It was over there was no longer a way to ignore it. It was the end of Aden and Willow.
