I was so shocked when I saw it.  Thank you all, thank you all so much for giving this book a chance. I appreciate it from the bottom of my wicked heart 🤭

I'm so sorry the update came this late. As I said, we will be having a double update. The second part would come in later.

“Hell didn't start in one day. It didn't start

Now and it didn't begin then either. It

Had always been there but that night

Highlighted all we had been blind to.”

It was a loud house.

I couldn't remember the last time I was at the center of so much noise. Sure, EHS was a permanent loud house but at least, things were toned down there. Right here, in Nwankwo's mansion; Kambili's party, the noise just didn't make sense.

Everybody was vibing to the song playing from the speakers courtesy of the baddest DJ in town according to Davina's insinuation. We were drinking, chatting, talking and dancing.

But that was it.

That was just it.

So, what were they all getting hyped up for?

Because hello, if anyone were to ask me what I was enjoying at this party, the answer was nothing. The fake love just grew real and bolder. And it aggravated me, struck on my nerves.

I was in a terrible mood.

But I wasn't feeling it.

“Treasure, you okay?”

Dara who was seated beside me leaned over my frame to talk to her friend. She had just walked in from nowhere and I hadn't even noticed her. Glancing up at her, my eyes did a quick access of her outfit. My lips tugging up in a small smile, I passed her a small nod which she appreciated.

She looked good.

And that was just an understatement.

“Yeah,” she nodded, checking out her nails. My eyes widened a little as I registered the white artificial long nails she had on. All because of a party?

“I'm just…” she shrugged and I frowned a little. She looked stressed and tired which was strange because this was Treasure. If anything, I would expect her to be the life of the party. Especially with her bubbly personality.
