Sophie smacked her forehead as she searched for her phone in every single pocket.
"Fuck" She said as the panic began to rise.
Noel frowned as he sipped his coffee and rustled in the bag of pastries.
"I must have dropped my phone when I banged into...that guy."
"Where?" He asked.
"On the street on my way here. Stupid. I have everything in there. All the contacts for today. I'll be back."
Noel nodded.
"Relax. Look, it'll turn up. Someone will hand it in."
Sophie nodded.
"I did have a business card in the back."
"Well you're sorted then. Just wait for the business line to ring."
The phone rang and Noel looked at her with a smirk.
Sophie jumped.
"See."
Sophie picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Is that Sophie?"
Sophie shivered from hearing his voice. Liam's accent hadn't softened over the years as Noel's had.
"Yes."
"I've got your phone. You dropped it in the street."
She gave a massive sigh of relief.
"Thankyou! You're a life saver. I'll come get it. Where are you?"
"I'm heading to radio X for an interview. Get me there?"
"No problem. Thanks."
"So...do I get a reward or that?" He asked suggestively.
Sophie found herself blushing fiercely despite herself.
Noel frowned and mouthed. What the hell is going on?
"Fuck off! You cheeky bastard."
Noel's eyes widened and Liam laughed on the other end of the phone. Sophie hung up.
"What was that about?" Asked Noel.
"The guy I bumped into found my phone and I'm going to pick it up."
Noel gestured for her to continue.
"And then he asked if he could get a reward for finding it. Like all...suggestively and that."
Noel laughed and shrugged.
"Fair play. Got to take your chances when you find them. Sounds like a bit of a lad to be honest."
Sophie's eyes widened. He wouldn't be saying that if he knew.
"Well...was he handsome?"
Sophie felt her face heat.
Noel smirked.
"Take that as a yes. Well what's the big deal. Let him take you out for a drink. If he's a creep ill beat him up. End of."
Sophie laughed and shook her head.
"I can't believe you're condoning this."
Noel shrugged.
"Well...you're young. You spend loads of time running after me. Take the day off. Have a drink with this guy alright."
Sophie bit her lip feeling conflicted.
