Yuuji woke up with a gasp, quickly reaching for his throat as if he were losing air. That dream... it felt too real. He looked around only to find himself alone in a strange place.
He sat up with an odd feeling. Everything looked hazy and almost melted together. The walls didn't seem right. He ran his hands along the fabric of the futon. It felt as if he were in a hyper realistic dream. It felt real and not at the same time. He could feel the presence of Sukuna. So close yet so far.
He got up carefully, walking to the door. Slowly sliding it open, he peeked out of the room. Darting his head down both hallways that seemed to stretch for miles.
"What is this place?" He questioned silently to himself. If he didn't know any better, he would say he was in Sukuna's domain... But that doesn't seem right.
He let his instincts guide him through the strange place. It was almost like he had been here many times before. Yuuji felt goosebumps run down his spine as he approached a corner. He could feel himself nearing the curse. He wanted to run away as panic started to set in. He isn't usually this scared of Sukuna.
Once he turned the corner he saw the man sitting on the floor, his arm resting on his propped up knee, and his head laying on a limp hand. Was he sleeping? Yuuji took a step forward quietly, his curiosity peeking as he noticed Sukuna's form. He didn't have any time before to look at his "new" look.
He was big. He took note of the four arms and the... thing on his face. As soon as he got close enough, Sukuna's eyes shot open. Looking at him with an almost angry expression. Yuuji froze in fear.
Both stared at each other for a long moment that seemed like hours for Yuuji. Then everything hit him again. He once again remembered what situation he was in. He dreaded the consequences of his actions, to the point of wanting to punch himself in the face.
He was so caught up in his own curiosity, he forgot that he was in danger.
"My friends..." He spoke up, brows twitching in what he could recognize as fear. Fear of what the answer could be. This was a cursed spirit. The same one who laughed in his face as he watched his friend die. He almost forgot.
"You didn't tell me I shouldn't kill them." He smirked. Yuuji's eyes widened. He felt his heart sink into his stomach and rage taking over. He clenched his jaw. They were family to him... the only ones he had. Cursed energy flowed out of his clenched fists.
"Sukuna. I am going to kill you." The empty look in his eyes filled him with so much pleasure. Unfortunately, as much as he would love to fight against him, with him believing his friends were killed, he was trying to get on his good side.
"They're alive." He sighed out, rolling his eyes. Yuuji's stare burned into his face. He didn't believe a single word he said.
"I've harmed not one of those sorcerers, so you can stop looking at me like that." He clicked his tongue, averting his eyes from the death stare he was getting.

."You know that would only upset Yuuji..." His voice trembled a little. Sukuna chuckled, that was the goal. He loved to torture the brat. He liked having him be mad at him.
There was no explanation as to why he liked to get him angry, all he knew was that he liked when all of his attention was on him. It stroked his ego a little too much whenever he was successful at getting under Yuuji's skin.
"He would never forgive you. Yuuji would turn himself in, even going as far as taking his own life if he had to." That last part froze Sukuna. That makes no sense. He was begging for his life just a moment ago. Would he really throw it all away just because these insects? What was so special about them?
"Besides... if you don't help him now, he will die in under two minutes." Only Megumi knew about Sukuna's odd liking towards his vessel. He's seen it firsthand.
Although it seemed like he was out to harm Itadori, Sukuna would often put aside his pride to preserve the boy's life on multiple occasions. He could have gotten a new vessel if he wanted, so it wasn't about that.
Save the kid or kill these vermin... He let out an annoyed grunt and turned around, walking back towards the boy. He already told the brat he would save him and he planned to see it through. Killing them will just have to wait. And bedsides, wouldn't it be more fun to make Yuuji watch?
It would be even better to have him be the one to choose to have them killed. He leaned over grabbing the collar of his shirt, picking him up and swinging him over his shoulder and began to walk away.
"JUST WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!?" Nobara yelled running towards the two only to be stopped by Megumi who put his arm out in order to stop her from getting any further.
"Let them go..." He spoke softly as he watched them leave into the thick forest.
"Wh- we were given an order to stall them until Gojo got here!!" She looked at him with a confused expression.
Megumi looked down with his hand clutching onto the fabric over his chest with his breath hitching. His heart racing, a cold sweat dripping down his head and his eyes wide.
"The only reason any of us are... even still alive... is because of Yuuji... let them go." He was scared. She would be lying if she said she didn't think they were going to die if they tried to stop them from leaving.
She clicked her tongue out of frustration. If only they had been stronger, maybe they could've avoided this outcome....

.Yuuji sighed, calming himself down. "I'll believe you for now." He sat on the floor next to the curse with his legs crossed, avoiding the intense stare he was getting. Even sitting directly next to him, the top of his head didn't even reach his mid arm.
"Where are we?" He asked still trying his best not to look him directly in the eyes.
"My innate domain." He looked up with a puzzled expression. But how is that even possible? How is he even able to.. change it? Sukuna noticed the confusion on the boy's face.
"I am able to manipulate the domain as I please. We are essentially in the past, or at least how I remember it. This is where I resided when I was alive." He would usually have a much more vulgar tone and be all pissy when he spoke... but now he was much more soft spoken and genuine with his words.
"So... where is this place now?" Was he no longer scared? Unbeknownst to Yuuji, they were still connected, he could feel everything he felt, almost but not quite hearing his thoughts. His dreams somehow leaked into the memory of Sukuna's. He could feel Yuuji's uneasiness, how he felt emotionally disconnected.
"Now that you are awake, we will visit my temple." He stood, offering a hand to Yuuji, which was ultimately denied. He could feel Yuuji's discomfort.
This was really bothering him. Was he the only person Yuuji disliked... hated?
