"Well, here we are, Ponyo. This is the place where we met." Matt and Ponyo found a very quiet rocky area of the beach, brimming with sea life before they could collect seashells and fish in a bucket.

"This place looks pretty," Ponyo said, stepping on the water.

"Yeah, and this is one of my favorite places to collect them," Matt replied, stepping in the water as well.

"Matt, what is your color seashells?" Ponyo asked him with a curious look.

"I like purple seashells. You know purple is one of my favorite colors. What is your favorite seashell color, Ponyo?"

"I like it with red," Ponyo said, letting out a smile.

"Because of the dress, you were wearing?" He asked his best friend, pointing at her red dress.

She nodded in response. "Mm-hm."

It was then Matt stopped something and picked it up from the small underwater. He suddenly found a regular goldfish.

"Ah, look. A goldfish. Let's keep that, Ponyo." Matt said, putting the goldfish in the bucket.

She nodded again. "Okay."

Ponyo then found an ordinary seashell underwater, so she picked it up and showed it to Matt, "Look, Matt! A pink seashell! Your favorite!"

Matt exchanged the seashell as he let out an exclaim. "Wow! It looks pretty! Great job finding it, Ponyo!"

"Thanks," Ponyo said happily.

Meanwhile...

A tanker was cruising along the coast of the sea. The crewmates of the ship began to ask their captain about the suspicious oil drums they were hauling.

The captain initially dismissed the crew because he claimed he "doesn't ask questions", but made a call to figure out where the boat was heading.

The ship got by a bump, causing the captain to ask what happened, only to be sent to the brig by the crew due to him asking a question. One of the barrels fell overboard and began drifting towards the beach.

Back to Matt and Ponyo...

Unbeknownst to them, the oil drum which fell off the boat got lodged between the rocks nearby. Matt picked up a lobster which tried to grab his nose. Ponyo also found another seashell near the small shore as she noticed Matt had found a lobster.

"Look, Ponyo! A lobster!" He said excitedly, "Luckily, I didn't have a nose because that thing tried to grab it."

Matt smugly remarked he didn't have a nose, only to be stabbed in the eye by its claws. "Ow!" He whined in pain.

In a panic, Matt tripped over the bucket and his chin pierced into the side of the oil drum.

"Matt!" Ponyo panicked, running towards him.

He dislodged himself from the barrel which started leaking black goo.

"Are you okay?" Ponyo asked, worried.

"I'm perfectly fine. It was just--" When Matt tried to finish his sentence, he turned around, he began to transform into a massive lobster-human mutant, which surprised the goldfish princess.
