Chapter 2

Kennedy's POV — 7 years ago in Miami

I can't control it anymore. It's getting harder every new place I go. The only place I could ever control it is in Manhattan. Maybe I should go back for a little while. I pull my hood up higher and put my headphones in. Music helps control my power from hurting anyone around me while I'm walking. Someone taps me on my shoulder knocking me out of my thoughts.
" Excuse me, um I think you dropped this." A girl about my age holds out a key card.
"Oh um that's not mine." I exclaim shaking my head. I turn to walk away but she jumps in front of me.
" Are you sure because I saw it fall out of your bag right where you were sitting?" Ok this girl is getting on my nerves. I can feel my anger bubbling up. I close my eyes and take deep breaths. I cannot explode in public, people would call me a freak. I would attract Shield or worse Hydra and I don't want that to happen.

" Um, what's your name?"

" Madison. Madison Reyes."

"Well Madison, I appreciate you trying to return something to its rightful owner, but it's not mine, I've never..." Something catches my eye on the card. I see the letters stark. Stark. As in Stark Industries in Manhattan. " Um actually that is mine. Thank you. I'm sorry for causing you problems." I take the card from her and walk away. Well try to at least because of course Madison is there. Does this girl know when to leave someone alone?

" I never learned your name."

"Ok. That's great for you, I don't give a fuck. Now can you please leave me alone."

" Um ok attitude, I didn't need that. I just wanna know your name."

" It's Kennedy. Can you please leave me alone now? " I walk around Madison, who has a shocked look on her face.

" Kennedy as in Kennedy Stark? As in my best friend for 6 years before she disappeared mysteriously? That Kennedy?"

" Um I don't know what you're talking about but I'm not Kennedy Stark. I don't remember my last name. I'm just plain Kennedy . Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go. " I move past her only to trip and fall into a guy with the most beautiful eyes and he catches me. My hood falls to reveal my curls and my blue eyes. From the look on his face , I can tell that my eyes have gone from ice blue to lilac purple. I jump out of his arms and run as fast as I can without tapping into my superspeed. How could I have been this stupid and let my guard down like that. I shouldn't have answered her questions and just left. Gosh I'm so stupid. I run back to my place and fall on my couch. I've gotta run again. Two times in one month. I guess I can go to Manhattan and put that Stark key card to use, maybe rob him, who knows.

Tony's POV -- in Miami

" Madison, did it work? Did you get her the card?"

" Yeah, I did Mr. Stark but it took some time and I can't guarantee that she'll come to Manhattan." You would've had better luck sending Peter than me."

" Maddie, you did exactly what I needed you to do and I can guarantee that she'll come because me and you both know her."

"Wait! So I was right. She really is Kennedy. We've finally found her." She jumps up and down and squeals so loudly. Peter runs in startled.

" Maddie, what's wrong? Do you need any help? Did you feel something?" He rushes over to her and looks worried. That kid really makes his feelings so obvious.

" Peter, I'm fine. We found her. We found Kennedy. She's alive and in Miami. An-"

" Actually it looks like she teleported to Manhattan. Let's get you back to Queens kid and Maddie head to the tower and wait for me there. If Kennedy comes don't startle her but lock down the tower it will neutralize her powers until one of the other avengers or myself comes and talks to her."

" Got it. Don't talk to her, lock down the tower, and wait for you or the other avengers." She says walking out to the jet to go home.

" Oh and one more thing, Maddie, be careful."

A/N

I will eventually do the present day, just giving a backstory and showing how they all fit into the story. The only people we have yet to meet are William and the rest of the avengers.
