Clash on the Seas!

Operation Iron Hail Phase 2.

3RD PERSON POV.

A few hours had passed since the attack on the stronghold and the Royal Navy Fleet had sailed northwards having replenished their ordnance and had eaten breakfast with tea. We find Aaron still asleep, though now on a couch courtesy of  Belfast who went aboard the carrier to serve Illustrious her breakfast and recognizing the rather uncomfortable sleeping position her master was in, took it upon herself to transfer him to the couch, managing to do so without waking him up.

SFX: Ping.

Suddenly his eyes shot open and he quickly rose from his position, throwing the blanket off realizing that someone moved him, he went to the console and saw multiple signatures suddenly appearing from out of nowhere. Exhaustion now fully pushed away, Aaron set about giving out orders to the fleet.

'Just as I thought.' He mused. "Let's get this over, as soon as possible. All non-carrier kansen will charge in, performing pincer maneuvers, empty your magazines if need be. Carriers prepare all strike aircraft, they'll serve as the vanguard followed by the charge."

"Let's give the Sirens, a proper defeat courtesy of the once most powerful navy in the world! All units, glory to the crown!" Aaron commanded.

"Aye-aye, Sir!"  A chorus of responses rang out, followed by multiple splashes as the kansen engaged their rigging, charging into the battle, zig-zagging at high speeds, carrier-borne aircraft sped on ahead with some of them with their respective carrier on top.

The enemy force was vast with over 150 ships, at least 12 Carriers, 18 Battleships, 24 Heavy Cruisers, 32 Light Cruisers, and 80 Destroyers, with god knows how many submarines and humanoid sirens but based on the visuals, so far non of the latter have been spotted, yet.

"Carriers direct your aircraft to attack the heavier units, priority targets are the: enemy Battleships and Carriers. Also, take out as many enemy planes as possible."

"Aye-eye, Sir!"

"Light Cruisers, lead the destroyers in for torpedo runs. Once accomplished, spread out and hunt down any enemy submarines!"

"Orders received!"

"Once finished, all units will charge in and shred them with as many shells as possible, empty your ordnance reserves if need be. We've got plenty of supplies."

"Right!"

"Take no prisoners, no hesitations. Show them that we will not yield. Go forth my kansen!"

"Aye-aye, Admiral!"

Setting change: Open Atlantic.

Aircraft pierced through the heavens, gaining altitude to catch the enemy off guard even if it was pointless as there was the possibility of the Sirens knowing where they are. On the surface the non carrier kansen skated towards their targets in a dozen parallel columns, soon enough the Light Cruisers pulled ahead followed by the Destroyers forming two parallel diagonal columns almost like an arrow head. The Battlecruisers lead three more columns with the Heavy Cruisers tailing them, followed by the Battleships and Monitors.
