Tea and Talks

It was dinner time at Liverpool Naval command, and the entirety of the 'Royal Navy' are currently eating a variety of food, and drinking various beverages. Right now we find newly promoted Rear Admiral Aaron Alios seated at the same table as the nobles, eating quietly. Until.

"Admiral." came from Illustrious, he held up his hand before swallowing and wiping his lips.

"Please I have no objection to all of you referring to me as Admiral, however it's a bit awkward when I'm currently off duty. So please you can refer to me however you like, such as my surname or given name." He said, causing them all to pause. "I'm going to enact changes starting now, one of those changes is you can refer to me however you like, so as long as it's not degrading."

"But you're our Commanding Officer! It would be improper." Warspite protested.

"Only when I'm on duty will you refer to me by my rank." He urged.

"And to be quite frank, I believe; Ranks shouldn't be used as justification for such matters. Nelson and Gloucester already witnessed that back at Portsmouth, when the candidates are all called by their given names not with their ranks and surname. Most of the people their don't use rank unless it's a serious matter or when a task is at hand, we had a saying there and it's; 'Your rank doesn't entitle you to respect, if you want it you have to earn it.' As of now I don't think I'm worthy of my rank, that and I want to be treated as an equal, by most of you" He then elaborated, before taking another bite of his food.

"Well then... Aaron, What exactly were you thinking about earlier that you didn't even hear us?" Illustrious asked, a bit of hesitation in her voice from not referring to him by his rank.

"About some of the changes I'm going to enact and projects that would aid in our cause." He answered, this intrigued them.

"Elaborate." George said.

"Operational Doctrine and Fleet composition for commissions, also Force line ups for the forward bases." He explained.

"The last one peaks my interest." Hood said.

"Well, I'm thinking about all the possibilities, Maybe a fast carrier force with battlecruisers could be based at Gibraltar reminiscent of both 'Force H' and 'Kido Butai' whilst up at Scapa Flow will have a smaller carrier arm a larger force of cruisers and destroyers led by Fast Battleships like the Home or Grand Fleet, and the remaining units will be based here at Liverpool." He said.

"Out of curiosity, will those be our permanent posts?" Wales asked.

"No, you'll rotate on a regular basis, maybe every three months, assuming we don't get more postings, but that's what worries me." He answered.

"And why's that?" Hood asked.

"If we get another posting, say the Falkland Islands, we'll be stretched greatly. That and there's bound to be Issues, Political Issues to be exact." He said.

"Oh, and what do you propose?" Elizabeth asked.

"Well your Majesty, I was hoping you'll be able to help with that. Until I have to assign you to other bases, We'll have to establish contact with the other European Camps for aid." He said.
