"Alex!" Riley shouted, dashing out the door after her. Ben and Abby looked at each other worriedly, before running out after them.

Alex was no where to be seen. The streets of Milwaukee were packed full of taxis, cars, and buses. As Riley ran through the streets, he would stop at different stands, and ask if they had seen a girl running past.

Out of the ten people he asked, only one knew who he as talking about she was on elder woman, who was running a stand of fruits.

"Yes, dear, someone just like that ran by not a minute ago. She turned the corner up there." She had a worried expression on her softly wrinkled face.

Riley thanked the woman and left, not bothering to answer her question. Plenty was wrong. He couldn't express how much was wrong.

He quickly turned to look behind him, figuring that his friends would be following. Ben and Abby were no where to be seen. He sighed and turned the corner, knowing that Alex was near.

Abby and Ben had been following Riley, but had lost him almost instantly when a bus had stopped in front of them.

"Ben, what are we going to do? We have two people lost in one of the busiest cities in the States. We have a girl who isn't thinking straight, and a boy who isn't the sharpest."

Ben put his hand to his forehead and slowed to a walking speed, thinking. "I think it would be best if we broke up."

Abby glared and slapped him. "You're breaking up with me NOW?! Today is already a stress bomb, and now-" Ben cut her off.

"No, I'm not breaking up with you. I mean go in two different directions to look for them."

"Oh, sorry, Ben" She ran her fingers through her hair, cheeks red, letting out a guilty laugh.

Ben rolled his eyes and looked around. "Let's meet there at noon, okay?" He pointed to a small cafe on the corner. There was a little patio with tables and umbrellas outside.

"It's a date!" Abby grinned kissing the cheek she had slapped a minute ago. Then, she turned and ran in the opposite direction of the lake. "Good luck!"

After awhile, Riley neared a small side road that wasn't as busy, called Prospect Avenue. He sat down on a bench and thought out loud.

"Where would she go to clear her head? She wouldn't stay in the busy city, that's for sure. What's calm around here, and within walking distance...c'mon, think think think..... THE LAKE!" He yelled, earning some odd stares from the civilians around him, but he didn't pay them any attention. All he could think about was Alex.

"I hope she went to the lake. I can't lose her."
