Wrong Place, Right time.

Chapter 1

            ~~~~~~ Where It Happened ~~~~~~

     It started out as a beautiful sunny day and Kayla decided to ring up a friend, she asked other people but they was freaked out that she decided to do this.
So Kayla called Ethan, knowing he would go without hesitation. "Hey Ethan, wanna go to an abandoned place with me?" She said in excitement. "Yeah, I can." He said in a good tone. "Where is it located and what time are going, also do I need to bring anything?" Ethan asked as he was shuffling around with a bookbag full of stuff. "Uhmmm just the normal stuff we usually bring I guess, we're going to leave around 5 after we eat and then we're going to the abandoned place. I forgot what it's called but I know how to get there." Kayla says after giving Ethan the information. "Alright then, I'll cya later. Bye!" He says as he gets everything charging and ready for tonight.

      It was finally time to leave and get ready to head out towards the abandoned building that no one really knows about. Kayla has seen numerous YouTubers go there to try and catch spirits.
     Kayla grabbed her keys, flashlights and her bag that has emergency necessities in it and headed out the door to pick Ethan up. Kayla calls Ethan to make sure he's ready. "Hey! Are you ready? Cause I'm like 15 minutes away from your house." She says as she drives down the road making a left turn. "Yeah... yeah I'm ready! I'll be outside." He says with an off tone. Something was going on with Ethan, like he was unsure about something or being bothered.
     She had finally arrived at Ethan's. As he opens the door and sits he has a frown on his face or a gaze as if he's accepting the fact we could die tonight. "What's wrong Ethan? If you don't wanna go with me you don't have to." Kayla says as she turns to look at him. "No, it's not that I don't wanna go. I'm scared. I seen something in a dream last night. You were.. gone. Like you disappeared." He said with a strange look on his face as he's confused with what's gonna happen to her. "Ethan, I'll be fine. Nothing will happen.. I promise." Kayla says as she puts her hand over his and looked at him to make sure he knows everything is fine.
     It started to get dark by time they got there, so they parked in a parking lot with light poles and grabbed their bags and flashlights as they shined them infront to see where they was going. *cracks* Ethan got startled as he pointed the flashlight out towards the noise. "What is it?" Kayla asked as she points the light around them. " I heard a snap, like a twig or something out in the woods over there." He says whispering as he looks around and sees nothing around. "Y'know we're out in the woods. It could've just been a squirrel or a deer." Kayla says trying to make sure Ethan stays calm and remains unfrightened.  However, as they were exploring, something unexpected happened. Kayla suddenly disappeared "AGHHH ETHAN HELP!" , leaving Ethan frightened and unsure of what to do "KAYLA! KAYLA WHERE ARE YOU!" He starts screaming for her and crying. He hears a twig snap and footsteps, in a panic, Ethan made the difficult decision to run off, leaving Kayla  behind as he bolted down the trail running off with no mercy running back to save her.

      Kayla woke up against a concrete wall with blood everywhere on her body. Her hands, legs, arms, and her head was covered in blood as she had cuts and bruises all over her. She was a little confused and her vision was extremely blurry as she passed out again before getting out a few words, "Ethan.. where are you...?" She then passes out.
    
     She was alone and injured, Kayla  found herself bleeding and scared. Just when she thought all hope was lost, a mysterious black-haired guy named Colby stumbled upon her.

Colby's Pov
     It was a sunny day and perfect for another video or an overnight with me, Sam and Corey to go and checkout this abandoned barn. Supposedly it's haunted and has like a lot of rituals goings on there. So I figured we could go there tonight. "SAM, COREY!" I yell in the house as Sam and Corey come downstairs. "So, I found this haunted barn in the woods and I was thinking.." Corey interrupted "dude, if we're doing a seance or a ritual I'm not going. I'm not getting sh*t attached to me dude. No" he says as he puts his hand on his forehead and turns around stressed. "Colby, we can't. We have stuff going on, don't you have a party tonight anyway?" Sam asked as he looks at Corey and back at Colby.  "Yeah I do, but I don't really want to go cause my ex is going to be there. But if y'all don't wanna go, I'll go alone." I tell them as they look at me like I'm crazy. "DUDE! There is no way in hell you are going there alone."  Sam tells him as Corey goes back up the stairs and looking at them "yeah no Colby that's a stupid idea." As Corey goes back into his bedroom. "Sam please go with me, something is telling me to go out there tonight." I look at Sam with a strange look. "Colby, what could be possibly calling you out there to go! We aren't going back there because everytime we do, something bad happens. For instance, first time we went, we almost got caught into a ritual and then the second time Elton pranked us and made us think we was being held hostage and witnessing him being burnt alive!" Sam did have a point so I just played cool. "Ok fine, I won't go." I told him.
     It's now 6 pm and I have 10 minutes to get there before it's to late, so I pack everything and I leave while the boys are gone to the party. I drive to the area and I see a white civic parked and found it strange because who would be here this late? Was someone else exploring or are the boys just fucking with me? I walk a few steps away and hear screams, goosebumps get all over my arms as I run to see what it was, if it was a ghost or someone at the barn doing a ritual.  As I get closer to the barn I walk and get quieter and I shine my flashlight at the building as I see a mark on the ground from where something was dragged. I pointed the camera at me after turning it on. "Ok guys so I'm out here exploring the abandoned barn again to try and get anything on camera and I think I stumbled upon something bad. Idk what it is yet." I turn the camera screen towards the barn with the light and zoom in on the path. "It looks like something or someone was dragged.." I look closer and see blood and marks from struggling. "Yo what the fuck is that?!" I say quietly as I didn't want to scare off anyone if they was still in there.
     I walk closer and look inside to see a girl badly hurt and sitting against a wall covered in blood and I shut the camera off and hold my flashlight. She wasn't awake, she was still passed out. I cleaned the blood off with my shirt after taking it off to help with clean her up after I pour water on it. "Hey.. shh I'm not gonna hurt you. Are you ok?" I asked her as she woke up in a panic. "Who- who are you..?" She said putting her hand up to her head. "Shit- my head is bleeding.." she looks at me as she looks really weak. "I'm Colby, I was out here and I heard what I assumed was you screaming." I tell her as I get her to stand up and let her lean against me as we walk out to the cars. "Yeah.. that was me. My friend ran off scared and left me to die." She says, my heart drops hearing the end. "That's a shitty friend. Who does that?!" I say angrily and I pick her up and she wraps her hands around my neck and lays her head in my shoulder as I cradle her to the car. "I didn't catch your name, what is it?" I ask her after I realized. "Kayla, my name is Kayla." She says as her voice is raspy and weak. "I'll take you home in my car and I can get what you need me to out of your car, just sit here" I say to her after sitting her in the passenger seat as she tells me what she needs. "Why did you save me.. I could've died there." She asked me. I looked at her and smiled after my heart drop and my eyes filled with tears not wanting to know what her story is cause I know she has to be going through something. "Because, I'm not going to let anyone die, especially a beautiful girl like you.." I tell her as I get everything into the car and take her home.

     Colby introduced himself to Kayla , offering her a comforting presence in her time of need. He quickly assessed her injuries and decided to take her to her house to get her the help she needed.

On the way to Kayla's  house, Colby and Kayla  exchanged stories and got to know each other. They found common interests and shared a few laughs along the way. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, a friendship began to blossom.

Once they arrived at Kayla's house, Colby made sure she was safe and comfortable. He helped her clean her wounds and offered support during her recovery. As they spent more time together, they realized they had a lot in common and enjoyed each other's company.

Before leaving, Colby asked Kayla  if she would like to connect on Snapchat. Excited about their newfound friendship, Kayla  gladly shared her Snapchat username with Colby, eager to continue their conversations and adventures.
