Wrong Place, Right time.

Chapter 3

~~~~~~ Making It Official ~~~~~~

Kayla and Colby decided to make their relationship official, so they gathered all their friends in the trap house to share the exciting news. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as they anxiously awaited everyone's arrival.
"Are you sure you wanna make it official Colby?" Kayla asked as she twiddled with her thumbs getting more nervous the longer they waited. Colby looked at her and put his hand on her cheek and rubbed it with his thumb as he puts his hand on her hands to get her to stop twiddling with her thumbs. "Kayla, I promise I am sure I want to tell them. Nothing will change my mind about us, not Corey not Sam and definitely not Elton. It's going to be ok." Colby says as he brings her in for a hug patting her back.

When their friends arrived, Kayla and Colby couldn't contain their excitement any longer. They stood in the center of the room, holding hands, and announced that they were officially a couple. Cheers and applause erupted from their friends, who were thrilled for them.
"Hey Colby, hey Kayla. What's up!" Sam says sitting down with them, the rest followed with what Sam did. "What's this about? Is it a prank? Where's the camera at Colby." Corey looked around suspicious since there is hardly any seriousness going on around the house, we'll serious enough for a sit down. "Well, I can't really keep any of this a secret from anyone living here except social media." Colby states as everyone looks at him and he looks at Kayla and he puts his arm around her shoulder and she leans onto him as she grins and her eyes water.
"Wait, are y'all dating?" Sam asks kind of jealous or protective of Colby as he points as the two. "Yes Sam, we are. It was kind of like love at first sight." He says and looks at the rest of the roommates around. "That's great! More people to join the prank wars!" Corey says excitedly. "Corey, don't rush her into the prank wars if she isn't ready. I know she's already done a prank or whatever but if she doesn't want to anymore, it's her decision." Colby states again. "Any guys that's amazing news! Y'all deserve each other go out and have fun!" Elton says to them both hugging them and congratulating the couple.

To celebrate this special occasion, Kayla and Colby planned a fun-filled day at an amusement park. They spent the entire day riding thrilling roller coasters, enjoying delicious carnival food, and creating lasting memories together.
"Are you excited?" Colby says as he goes to open her door to let her into the red Corolla. "I'm really excited! I've never been to an amusement park!" Colby looked at her wondering why she hasn't. "Really?! Why is that?" He asked her. Kayla answered with a response that Colby wished she hadn't. "When I was growing up, we wasn't really able to do a lot of things because we might as well been growing up in poverty. So we just had a small dinner on our birthdays." Kayla said like it was normal. "Kayla, I'm sorry you was dealing with that growing up.." he grabbed her hand and kissed it.
As they get in line for a rollercoaster they enjoy talking to each other and laughing at each others jokes and the time went on and they got closer to the front, she got more and more nervous cause it was a rollercoaster that went upside down and loops. They got off the ride 49 seconds after they got in since it was a short rollercoaster, Kayla was shaking of adrenaline because it went fast and it was her first rollercoaster in a lifetime. "You okay?" Colby asked as he wraps his arm around her shoulder. "Yeah I'm fine! That was really fun!" Kayla exclaims as she stutters due to the amount of excitement she had rushing in her. "Can we go in another one?" Kayla asked Colby. "Let's go eat first and then we can ride a few minutes after." He looks at her as he points out a sit down place where they can eat outside and enjoy the weather. It wasn't to cold nor to hot, it was perfect and warm out. The waitress came over to them and asked the two what they wanted to order, Colby gave the signal to Kayla so she orders first, she was quiet and stuttered a little bit as she doesn't do well socially interacting with others. "I'll have a Turkey ham and cheese sandwich with steak fries please.." she said as she looked back down to the menu while Colby orders his food. "Alright will that be all for you two?" The waitress gets a confirmed answer and they hand her the menus as they wait for their food and drinks. "Kayla are you ok? You seemed a bit... off ordering your food." Colby glanced across at her. "Yeah I'm good! I'm just not used to ordering for myself.." she smiles and looks down fiddling with her fingers as she gets nervous. "Kayla I could've ordered for you, you need to tell me stuff like this sweetheart." He grabs her hands and looks at her and she smiles and her eyes tear up. "I know, I'm sorry." She smiles at him and her voice cracks. "Stop crying sweetheart it's okay." He giggles and she giggles after wiping her tears and the food arrives. After they eat, they make their way through two more rides before sitting down and getting to know each other more. "Kayla, I want to get to know more about you since your my girlfriend y'know." Colby says rubbing her back. "Yeah I know, I just don't know what to say because it's a big mess." Kayla says as she goes back to looking at her hands and fiddle with her fingers and bounce her leg. "Kayla sweetheart, stop fidgeting with your fingers it's ok." Colby says grabbing her hands gently and caresses them with his thumb. "Sorry, it's a habit I picked up with my parents..." she looks down. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Colby asks. "Not right now, I don't want to ruin our night." She looks at him and kisses him on the cheek. "Kayla, our night is just getting started! Let's go." He stands up grabbing Kayla's hand and dragged her through the crowd and  and drives to the bar that he and his friends host parties at.

They decided to continue the festivities by heading to a nearby bar to unwind and have a few drinks. "Hey, can I get a bottle of bourbon?" Kayla asks the bartender. "You can get a glass of bourbon, not a bottle of bourbon!" The bartender says loudly over the music that plays on the speakers above. Kayla doesn't seem to pay attention to her surroundings and she doesn't notice Colby isn't near. "Thanks!" Kayla says with a slur in her voice after drinking to much and still drinking. Kayla then proceeds to stand up as she moved her body awkwardly at the dance floor and dances to music. As time went by, Colby found an empty table to sit at as he sips on water so he doesn't get drunk so he can drive Kayla and himself home.
As Kayla dances to music, a dude comes up besides her and takes her hand and puts the other around her waist. "Stop, I've-" Kayla gets cut off by the rude and abrupt guy, "I don't wanna hear that excuse beautiful lady." He moves his hand up and he grinds on her while her back faces him. "I said stop! I have a boyfriend!" Kayla yells loud enough for Colby to hear.
Colby was alert at what is happening and went over to him and taps him in the shoulder, "hey dickhead!" The guy turns around, letting her go as she walks away and sits outside waiting for Colby. Kayla didn't wanna know what happened back there, she hopes it wasn't bad. She was happy that Colby, immediately stepped in to take care of her. Colby made sure Kayla was safe and comfortable, while he helped keep an eye on her. He knew the importance of looking out for one another and wanted to make sure Kayla was okay.

Despite Kayla getting a bit too drunk, the night was still filled with laughter, love, and support. Colby made sure to take care of her and ensure she had a safe and enjoyable time.

The next day, Kayla woke up with a hangover and starts throwing up in the bathroom, she had never had a hangover and she was believed that she had gotten pregnant the night before. "Colby..!" Kayla yells quietly as she continues sitting against the cabinets under the sink. "Are you ok Kayla?!" Colby ask as he opens the door and pulls Kayla's hair back. "I don't feel good... I think I'm pregnant..." she looks down in disappointment like she's afraid of what Colby might think since they're still young. "Kayla, baby... your not pregnant." He let's out a soft laugh. "What do you mean I'm not pregnant? I'm throwing up in the a.m!" Kayla mentions as she looks at Colby confused and angry. "Sweetheart, it's a hangover. You got really drunk last night at the bar." He looks at her confused. "Have you never been out to a bar?" He asks her. Kayla stops throwing up and looks at him, "no. That was my first time going to one." she states. Even though mistakes were made, they both got up and continued in about their day. "What do you want for breakfast Kayla?" Colby asks genuinely.
Kayla stopped in the middle of the kitchen trying to get an idea of what she wanted, although she isn't much of a breakfast person, don't get her wrong she loves breakfast, she just thinks all of it is greasy and gritty to her. "Uhmmm to be honest, I don't know what I want." She shrugs her shoulders and looks back at Colby. Colby then continues to get pots and pans out to cook "alright that's ok, I'll figure something out then." Colby grabs the ingredients and materials to cook what he has on his mind. "What are you gonna cook?" Kayla questions him, Colby turns around with a pan in his hand as he points it at her "You'll figure it out later" he says in a playful tone. "Ok fine whatever." She sighs and moves onto the couch as she puts on Bridgerton on Netflix.
     After Colby was done cooking, he walks into the living room only to find Bridgerton playing on the tv and Kayla asleep on the couch with her head resting on her hand. He goes over to wake her up and tell her breakfast is ready. "Kayla, wake up breakfast is done sweetheart." He softly speaks to her as he moves her by her shoulder as she wakes up. Kayla groans and gets up as she stretches and yawns, "what smells good?" She yawns as she speaks. "That would be what I cooked in the kitchen obviously." He says as he hands a plate with waffles that had berries on top along with bananas and whipped cream and syrup to go on it. "Colby, this looks so good.." she looks at him. Colby sits down with her as he brings two cans of energy drinks for both of them. "Kayla, I don't know if you like energy drinks so you don't have to drink it if you don't want to." He states to Kayla. "Oh I'm good! I love energy drinks, every time  I get a monster I end up picking something I haven't tried."
     After the morning came about, they finished their food and continued on about their day and kept each other company after heading out to his friends to film a video for "Sam and Colby".
