Before work I grabbed a cup of coffee at the cart.

"Hey! Jules wait up" I heard Marks voice behind me.

"Yes Dr.Sloan?"

"Im sorry. About yesterday Addison was out of line and I-"

"You don't have to apologize" I cut him off "Was it embarrassing? Yes very much, but it was not your fault. Whoever this Addison is obviously you two have history and I won't stand between that"

"No it's not like that-"

"It's okay, I understand truly I'll catch you later okay?" I grab my coffee and head over to rounds.

"Hey! Jules over here!" Lexie waves me over to her and a group of friends

"Hey guys what's going on?"

"Just waiting to be assigned, have you chosen your specialty?"

I shake my head "Leaning towards neuro, but i'm still undecided"

She gasps "Me too! Imagine us, the neuro duo! Maybe trio with Derek"

Her enthusiasm shines from her personality.

"We still have to get through a fellowship you know?" I add and she groans.

"All i'm saying is that we'd be a great team"

"Avery, you're with Dr.Montgomery she's our finest neonatal surgeon" Bailey states and Jackson steps up.

"No no not you, that Avery" she points to me and I chuckle at Jackson's embarrassment.

I make my way up to the floor.

"Ah you must be Dr.Avery-" She turns around and it was the same women from last night.

"Oh my god- you're Mark's fling from last night aren't you?"

I roll my eyes "That is completely unrelated to why i'm here"

She smiles a devilish little smirk.

"Right then let's get started, Dr.Avery"

After Addison dismissed me I went to grab a bite in the cafeteria.

"Jules, hey I heard you were on Addisons service today I hope she didn't give you trouble about-"

"It's Dr.Avery, Dr.Sloan and no Dr.Montgomery didn't give me a hard time because she doesn't bring personal business to work. Now I'm having lunch with Lexie I have to go"

I push past him and he yells from behind "That's Dr.Grey to you!"

"Hey girl from Sloans house" Derek approached me at the desk

"So that's what I am now?"

He chuckles "No no I apologize Dr.Avery, but you know Mark doesn't usually sleep with the same person twice unless it's Addison"

I scoff "Right Addison"

"Oh was that a hint of jealousy?" He teases

"No of course not! I-I just Addison caught Mark and I the other night and she didn't seem too happy"

Derek laughs "That's Addison for you. She was my wife once. She cheated on me with Mark who was my best friend but once she saw me with someone else she wasn't happy. And now that Mark is with someone else she's even more mad at the fact she lost both of us"

"Mark and I aren't together-"

"If you say so" He raises his eyebrows as he smiles "I'll see you later little Avery"

Hey Jules, do you want to come to Joes after your shift with us?"

"Sure let me get changed and i'll be there"

"Great!" she smiles brightly before leaving the room.

After I finished changing I grabbed my things and stepped out of the room.
