A Kingdom Saved

With the Mother of All Sea Monsters defeated and the kingdom saved, our journey had come full circle. We had faced unimaginable challenges, confronted our deepest fears, and emerged victorious. It was a very long journey home but it felt like it was only minutes before we had reached land. The people of the kingdom hailed us as heroes, and the 'Red Serpent' was celebrated as a symbol of hope and courage. The kingdom celebrated us for weeks maybe months, I lost count. They started a day dedicated to us saving the kingdom. People dressed up as us and more people wanted to write about us.  Our crew, once a band of misfits, had become a tight-knit family, bound by a shared purpose and unwavering loyalty. From that point on whenever there was a new threat to the kingdom, it was my crew and I who would save the kingdom and you'd be surprised at how many times that was.

The Birth of a Legend

As we sailed into the sunset, hand in hand, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible journey we had undertaken. We had been through so much suffering, I wonder to this day if any humans could face it like us. But we kept our faith in each other. Our love story had transformed into a legend, a tale of two unlikely heroes who had defied the odds and saved their kingdom. The story was told many times and people made art and statues of us. That didn't matter to us though. All that mattered was that the kingdom was saved and the Mother of All Sea Monsters was gone.

But our adventure was far from over. The sea still held many mysteries, and the horizon was filled with endless possibilities. With Joshua by my side, I knew that we would continue to sail the seas, face whatever challenges lay ahead, and create our own legends for generations to come. Of course, none of our journeys and legends are as known as this one. Maybe I will write more stories about our other adventures. Maybe even one about the journey that led us to this one. But for now, just ponder on this question: If you had to go on a mission like this one, would you be willing to?
