At 8:45 AM, Aarushi anxiously checked her phone, realizing her van should've been there by now. With class starting at 9, the clock was ticking, and she decided to call a girl from her van, Aarushi learned the news that van uncle had decided to take an unannounced day off and forgot to inform her .
Annoyance prickled at her, and she began pondering her options.Coincidentally, Mehul appeared, swaggering towards her with an extroverted confidence. "Sup. You haven't left for class yet? Oh, are you planning a sneaky bunk? Count me in!"
"Nooo, I wish. But my van uncle ditched me."
"Aw, sed lyf. May I do the honors, ma'am?"
"Ugh... I mean, I don't want to burden you, sir."
"Bro, just get on."
He gestured towards his bike, promptly putting on his helmet.
"Ooh, safety prince it seems."
"Of course, my father is a literal policeman."
"oh shit gotta stop bringing ganja in the society"
"Well, well, well."
Arriving at their class, they walked in together.
When Arushi was thanking Mehul,
she said "i owe you one ", while she could feel Nitya staring into her soul and Yuvika searching for answers.Waving goodbye, Aarushi settled into her seat,as she was mentally prepared herself for the investigation the gang would make her go through.
"Okay, what the hell was that?" Jenisha demanded.
"I-"
"No, like when did you guys become besties?" Nitya chimed in.
"I-"
"I seriously thought you made up the 'I know Mehul' thing," Yuvika added.
"When were you gonna tell us about your 'new friend'?" Jenisha pressed.
"Are you gonna ditch us?"
(Yuvika's trust issues surfaced out of nowhere.)"WAITTTT LET ME SPEAK PLEASE!" Aarushi pleaded.
"I was waiting for my van, and then I found out that my van uncle quite literally forgot about me. That's when Mehul became my knight in shining armor."
"Whoa, that's a heavy analogy for a man like THAT," Jenisha exclaimed.
"Ayo, chillll," the group sang in unison.

"OMFGGGG YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAWW!!!" Nitya burst out.
*chirps of fed up of Nitya noises*
"Areyy yaarrr," the others groaned in exasperation.
"JUSTTT HEAR ME OUT! I JUST NOTICED AMAN FONDLING MEHUL'S BICEPS!!!!"
"Eww... fondling...??" Aarushi was visibly disgusted and hated how that word made her feel.
"Yeah, no shit... I've said this before and I'll say it again, stop with the Webtoon and BL stuff," Yuvika stated with disappointment.
"NOO, TRUST ME! I SAW THAT WITH MY FOUR EYES AND THAT SHIT WAS NOT STRAIGHT, I SWEAR."
"Okay Okay Chill !!? , I support you always, but I feel it's a bit far-fetched this time," Jenisha tried to reason.
Nitya insisted, "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, and I betcha you will be on my side one day."
Jenisha replied, "Okay, sweetie. We'll see about that. Let's just finish our homework before 11th grade finishes us, handling Nitya's delusional ass."
