"This is all your fault." Harry mutters behind my ear.

"I hope so." I grin slightly, tuning out Umbridge's shrill voice.

"Bloody hell Eden, are you seriously proud of yourself?"

"Oh come on Harry it was fun and you know it."

"OI! Pipe down!" I groan as I turn my attention towards the source of the noise: Malfoy. Standing to the right of Umbridge at the front of her cramped office.

"As I was saying, you four..." Yeah I'm not listening to that.

"You're up next Hargreaves." Draco sneers in the doorway. I grimace at the bleeding words on the backs of the Golden Trio's hands, mine already burning in anticipation.

"All right then, begin. I trust you know your assignment."

"Mhm." I grumble.

"I will not tolerate that attitude, keep that mouth in check before your punishment evolves."

Rather than responding, I opt for a sigh, and get to work.

The first few scratches hurt the most, and I bite back several groans. The pain, however, I can feel clearly showing on my face. In the corner of my eye I notice Malfoy pursing his lips.

Is he.. uncomfortable?

I would have thought he'd be grinning like a fool at my pained moans.

I dare a glance at the cunning prick, and my heart breaks slightly at his glossy slate eyes, full of concern.

He quickly schools his expression into distain as he catches me studying his face.

"Hm."

"What was that?" Umbridge looks up from her desk, curiously tilting her head.

"Nothing."

Brushing off the moment, I resume my writing, rushing through it to get it over with. No sound escapes my lips, no muscle in my face dares contort in pain.

Once I'm finished, the bubblegum bitch dismisses me, and I waste not another second in that room.

"Still worth it." I grin, walking past the trio without a glance in their direction.

"You would think a Ravenclaw would brew up a solution so we could've avoided that." Ron mutters beside me.

The halls are dark with dusk's remaining sunlight, empty, save for Ron and I. Hermione and Harry had decided to go straight to bed after we left our little evening lesson, though Ron fancied a walk. As did I.

"Y'know Gryffindors are brave, not stupid, so don't mock me or I'll peck your lion heart out."

My retort earns a soft push in attempt to knock me off balance. I exaggerate the effect and stumble over into a pillar, falling to the floor upon impact.

"Eden!" Ron cries out, rushing to me to help me up. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry- I didn't think I pushed that hard!"

His expression quickly shifts from scared to unamused at the sound of my quiet laughing, which turns into hysterical.

"That's not funny Eden! I thought I hurt you!" Rather than helping me up, he shoves me back down, which earns even louder laughing.

"Why are you laughing!"

"Because it hurt. I didn't- haha! I didn't mean to hit the pillar so- hard. Ron I'm okay, I'm sorry." I finish giggling as I lift myself up, Ron failing to reach me in time to effectively help me. His hand lingers in the air momentarily before he awkwardly searches for something to do with it; finally he settles on stuffing both hands in the pockets of his beige trousers.
