Buck's gone. I'm standing alone in my now lonely room. I don't wanna be here for another second. I just confessed something that I have been feeling for years, thinking that it would relieve this constant pain in my chest. But in all honesty, it didn't help at all.
I pull out my phone to text Jacob, but then see the time. He's probably asleep by now. I'll just have to walk home. I walk outside and of course it's raining. I start walking down the road, my feet fully submerged by water.
Lightning cracks across the sky, lighting up the entire neighborhood. Thunder roars viciously behind me. It starts raining harder.
I really need to get to Jacob's fast, I need him right now. I need his warm body against my cold one. I need his beautiful blue eyes and dark hair. I need him, every part of him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At this point, I've probably passed about 1,000 houses, and I still don't think I'm close. I turn around the corner, I've seen this road before. I'm getting closer. I see a person walking down the sidewalk across the road. I turn my head to see them. They turn their head to see me. I recognize those gorgeous eyes, instantly. It's Jacob
I run across the road, and embrace him in the biggest hug I've ever given anyone. He looks down at me and frowns, "Why didn't you call me to come get you? That's a long walk. Bryce, you do realize it's storming its ass off right now, and you're just strolling down the road? Are you okay? What happened? Do you need anything?"
"Can we talk about this when we get home?"
He nods. I grab his hand and walk with him back down the road. We finally reach his house and I run inside. He runs in right behind me. We walk into his room. He walks to his closet and hands me dry clothes.
"You can shower if you want. I can sit in there with you, so we can talk.
I nod and walk into the shower. I turn the water on, it's so hot I think my skin is falling off, but I love it. Jacob sits on the counter.
"How are you holding up?"
I cannot believe he seriously just asked me that. How does the think I'm holding up? I mean really dude?
"I'm not doing great, but as good as I can be."
"I know that there is nothing I can do to help, but after you get the stink off of you, do you wanna get in bed and watch a movie?"
"Yes, I do. Make it something scary, I'm just in that kind of mood."
Jacob smiles. "I love you, and I know you love me because those are literally my favorite movies of all time, which movie do you wanna watch."
"I think you should choose, it is your favorite kind of movie after all."
He opens the shower door and kisses me and walks out into the bedroom.
I finish up in the shower and get my clothes on. I open the bathroom door and Jacob jumps out. I start swinging.
"Jacob, I fucking hate you, why would you do that?" I hit him a few more times, just because he deserved it.
"I just wanted to get you warmed up for what we are going to watch tonight."
"Which is?"
"The exorcist!" He says, excited.
The smile falls off my face and onto the floor and probably through the floor and into the neighbor's house. Like smile is gone for good.
"You're kidding right?"
He shakes his head, "No, now get in bed and get ready, because I'm turning it on right now."
I crawl up to the top of the bed and cover my self up to my eyes. Jacob crawls up right beside me, he puts his hands around me and pulls me into him. He's warm. I love it. He kisses my neck.
"If you are trying to lighten the mood because you think I'm about to kill you, it's not working."
He starts kissing more and more and sucking on my neck, too. He runs his hand under my shirt and up my stomach and chest. "Are you sure?"
I nod.
Well, let's just say I wasn't scared of the movie, because I didn't watch it long. I was watching a little something else.
