Optimus POV
I lay on my berth thinking about my upcoming meeting with Scarlett. I was wondering what would be the best way to start a conversation with her so as not to seem aggressive or pushy.
I didn't want her to think negatively about me I mean us. The first impression is always the most important. I knew she was a strong and beautiful woman.
" Wait, Beautiful? ... Get yourself together, Optimus. You don't even know her " I thought and sighed.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 11:00 in the morning and I knew the sooner I did it, the better. I'm not entirely sure if she will be awake at this time, but I can check with my hearing. I'll come back later to talk to her if she will be still sleeping.
When I came out of my berthroom I saw that everyone was in the main room. Miko was the first to see me
" Are you going to see Scarlett now Optimus? " she asked
" Yes Miko, the sooner I will talk with her the better " I replied
" Ratchet ground bridge " I said
" Good luck old friend " he said
" Thank you " I replied and turned into my truck.
A portal opened not far from her house. I parked so as not to catch the attention of the Decepticons, I didn't want to endanger her any more than she already was.
I parked between the trees and when I was sure that my alt form was well hidden, I entered my holoform. I sighed deeply, rubbing my eyes and heading towards her door.
She heard. like something was going on inside so I was sure Scarlett was awake. I knocked on the door and not even 3 minutes later a beautiful woman stood in front of me.
" What can I help you with? " she asked leaning on the door frame.
" My name is Optimus Prime and I would like to talk to you and thank you for what you did two days ago. Can I come inside? " I said and asked politely.
"Come inside Optimus" she said and he let me in
" Do you want something to drink or eat? Can you eat human food? " she asked after a moment of silence.
" I can eat human food and everything is fine. If it doesn't make you crazy, something sweet " I said but I will never admit that I have a sweet tooth

" It's very good " I said, taking a bite of the cookie
" Thank you, I'm proud of them, they are one of my favorite things to bake " she replied
" What did you want to talk to me about, Optimus. Take your time and focus on what you're saying, we're not in a hurry " she said after a moment of silence.
" I would like to tell you exactly what we are and why we would like one of us to be your guardian or for you to spend some time at the base with us. I understand that you are strong and would be happy with them. Airachnid is proof of how strong you are and what you can do " I said seriously
" I understand your concern, Optimus, but I don't want a guard, but if it would make you feel better, I can spend a few hours with you. But you must know, my Dad has known about your presence since you arrived here. He didn't know what you were though " she said.
" You told him about what we are " I said understandingly
" Yes " she replied
" I understand why you did it, Scarlett " I said before she could continue
" I understand he thought we were a danger to you. I would do the same if I were him " I continued
" What would you like to tell me, Optimus? " she said
I don't know how much time passed during our conversation. I answered her about us and our planet.
What happened, who I was before I became Prime and why the war started. Scarlett told me about herself, her family, a little about her powers and other mutants.
She told me a little about their history and why they were hunted. She answered all the questions she had and I did the same.
Before we knew it, it was lunch time and after some persuasion, I agreed to stay for lunch.
When I returned to the base it was already late. Ratchet was the only one awake when I got back. When I told him about the course of my meeting, he was pleased with its development.
I went to my berthroom to recharge for tomorrow. I know the rest of you will be wondering about the details of my conversation with Scarlett.
I closed my optics and fell asleep, one of the calmest recharges I've had since the fight against the Decepticons began.
