Tyler was emitted to one of the best asylums in Ohio. He was emitted to the asylum because of an incident which was suspected to be an extreme case of schizophrenia.

Walking down the white halls- the flashing and blinking ceiling lights being enough to make you go blind, and Tyler hated it. A nurse on either shoulder, making sure their grip was strong so that he could not run away- but why would he? It wasn't like he had anything that he wanted to live for anyways. There wasn't anything that he dreamed for or needed anyways and the thing was, he knew he wasn't mentally stable. He didn't care that he was emitted- it was almost like freedom, like an escape, a place away from the life that gripped him and kept him cornered.
Arriving at his room, Tyler let out a sigh and walked inside. He turned to the nurses that were behind him and watched them leave him to his own devices inside the shit hole they called his bedroom. The walls were white, the windows didn't open and the bed was poorly made. The bed was small, but being small, it wasn't an issue for Tyler anyways. He walked over to it, staring at the lumpy and springy mattress, the pillow was worn, scratchy and hard and the blue bed sheets were thin and tacky plus they were anti suffocation bedsheets.
Tyler sat down and looked at the floor, looking at the long sleeves over his arms and rolled them up to see the fresh, deep red cuts from his hands to his elbows. Each one was long but then there was the occasional small one that surrounded the larger. Not a single area of skin wasn't covered by a red hue, a deep mark. These were Tyler's addiction, his constant reminder of how they say, "how could he go if he's got everything?" It was stupid. He thought so, anyways. These red lines were his only control, his only way of knowing that he was still...there.
"Tyler?"
