Jules POV
There was a pounding inside my head waking me up.
My eyes fluttered open and I tried to adjust my eyes to the bright lights surrounding me. I tried to lift my arms to rub my eyes and I realized my wrists were handcuffed to a metal table.
"What the fuck?" I mutter. I looked around and saw a one-way mirror, usually used in police departments for interrogations. I glared at the mirror, desperately hoping someone was looking at me behind it.
Bucky POV
The kid already knew what she had gotten herself into. I knew just by the look on her face.
"Who wants to go in and talk to her?" Tony asked, he held a clipboard and a pen.
Everyone stayed silent. For some reason, she was mildly scary.
"Barnes you're up." Tony handed me the clipboard and pen.
"What? Why me?" I asked.
"Because you're the toughest one soldier. If anyone can get answers out of her, it's you." He shoved me into the exact room she was in and locked the door behind me.
"Damn you Tony." I cursed.
I looked at Jules. She wasn't as scary as she seemed. After all, she was just a kid.
"Hey," I greeted her and sat down in front of her.
She stayed glaring.
"Let's start simple. I'm Bucky, what's your name?"
She didn't reply.
"OK. How are you?"
She scoffed. "How do you think I feel, Sherlock? Like the fuck. I just got fucking stalked, chased, and kidnapped."
I had to admit she got me there. I was left speechless with nothing to say.
"Yeah, exactly. Let that sink in, then come back and ask me how I'm feeling."
"Look, we meant no harm. We just-"
"No harm? Are you sure?" She cut me off.
"Will you let me finish?" I crossed my arms.
She sighed.
"We just needed to bring you in. Make sure you're not a threat," I explained.
"Really? I'm the threat. Are you sure it's not you guys because kidnapping a minor seems like a greater felony than stopping some corner store thugs?" She tsked.
"Look, it was just a precaution. We didn't know if you had someone you worked for or something."
"Well, here's your answer. No, I don't fucking work for anyone. I'm fully capable of being a vigilante by myself."
"Oh, I know you are but that just means you're a bigger threat to us." She was completely puzzled.
"Yeah, I'll leave you with that thought." I walked out of the room.
"She's a little mad," I said as I walked into the Avengers interrogation area.
"You think?" said Tony.
"How do you suppose we get answers out of a fifteen-year-old girl?" Steve asked.
Tony didn't know how to respond to that and stayed quiet, thinking.
"Hands," He snapped his fingers and pointed at Wanda who was sitting quietly beside Nat, "Come with me." He walked back into the cell Jules was being held in. Wanda followed in close behind.
The rest of the Avengers watched cautiously from the other side of the glass.
Jules watched Tony closely. She observed his every move. Studying him like an open book.
Tony sat down in front of her, where I had been sitting and tried to get her to answer the rest of the questions we had for her. Jules stayed quiet, glaring at Tony. Though every once in a while she exchanged glances with Wanda who was next to Tony.
Wanda had her hands behind her back and everyone could see she was trying to work her magic. Crimson swirls twirled in between her fingers, slithering like snakes.
Tony banged his hands harshly on the metal table. Jules flinched at his sudden movement though she covered it up rather quickly.
Wanda on the other hand had lost her concentration and all her magic disappeared.
"Kid you can answer our questions the easy way or the hard way," Tony threatened.
Jules stayed silent. A blank expression rested on her face.
Tony looked straight into her eyes.
"You know what? I think ill just call your uncle at this point. I'll let him deal with your criminal ass."
Jules expression changed in an instant.
"What? Why would you call him?" She asked, her voice almost wavering.
"Well, he is your legal guardian, why wouldn't I?" Tony added, he quickly realized the amount of leverage he had against Jules using her uncle.
"He's busy." She said simply.
"I'm sure he's got enough time to hear about all sorts of mischief you've gotten yourself into." Tony smirked.
Jules glared at Tony fiercely.
"Call him. I dont care," she ended. It seems like Tony had lost his leverage.
Tony rolled his eyes and walked out of the room. Wanda followed behind.
"Hands? Tell me you got something." Tony looked at Wanda.
"She was angry at first, she wasn't scared or nervous just angry though she did flinch when you banged your hands on the table, but what she really reacted to was when you mentioned her uncle-" Tony cut her off.
"Yeah we saw, she got really defensive."
"No, she was scared, she was terrified actually."
Everyone in the room exchanged concerned glances.
"Why would she be scared of her own uncle?" Tonys question rang loud inside my head.
