Jules POV

I had no idea how I was going to get out of that place but I knew that one way or another I would escape.

When they mentioned my uncle I knew they were bluffing but that didn't stop my fear of him overcoming my tough girl facade.

I was slowly but surely falling asleep on the metal table when the sound of the door opening woke me up.

"You're free to go kid." Bucky walked in with a pair of keys in his hands. He unlocked the cuffs that were tightly latched around my wrists. Red marks appeared around my wrists. 

I stood up, rubbing my wrists softly. They burned. 

Bucky stared me down while I walked toward the door. 

"I'll lead you out." Bucky passed by me. 

We walked through many empty halls and corridors before we came to the main entrance. 

"Thanks..." I paused. "for nothing." I took a step toward the exit. 

"Kid, wait." I turned around. 

"I'll let you go under one condition..." 

I stayed quiet. 

"Take my number and promise me you'll call if you ever need anything." He took out his hand with a small piece of paper. 

Reluctantly, I took it. His grip tightened around the paper before I could take it from him. 

"Promise me." 

I took a deep breath. "I promise."  

"Thank you." He let go of the paper. 

Time skip

I wandered around the streets of New York. Trying to avoid going back home. But I knew the longer I waited the worse my punishment was gonna get.

I pulled out my phone, I didn't want to go back. 

I texted Nick.

I needed something to take the edge off. I felt so sick of myself and everyone. I was so tired to be in this world. Nick was the only person that helped. He was there for me when no one was and I'll always be there for him. He's my best friend. 

I sat down on one of the benches in Central Park. Waiting for Nick to show up. I almost fell asleep when Nick tapped me on the shoulder.

"You were falling asleep, fucking lazy ass." He plopped down next to me.

"I wouldn't have been if you hadn't taken so long" I said.

"Well you just happened to pick the park furthest from my house. I could've gotten kidnapped" he said, faking hurt.

"Be so for real, who would kidnap your ugly ass" I laughed.

"As a matter of fact I have a lot of women on this 'ugly ass'" he smirked.

"Like who? Your mom?"

"Like you can talk. You dont even have one"

My jaw dropped. "Fucking asshole. Your an asshole" I stood up and began walking away from him. But he ran after me. He grabbed hold of my wrist and spun me around until I was facing him.

"I'm sorry. Im so sorry. Ma' I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking. I just said it. I'm so fucking stupid. I'm sorry. Perdoname. (Forgive me)" he pleaded. He kissed the back of my hand.

"Stand up. You look dumb. I forgive you."

"Really?" His eyes were wide.

I nodded.

"Cmon. Lets get out of here." I grabbed his wrist and he followed me.

We went to the abandoned side of town and settled on an abandoned restaurant roof.

"Did you bring the shit?" I asked. He nodded excitedly.

He emptied his hoodie pocket and all his weed pens, vapes, and edibles fled out.

"Woah buddy" I said concerningly.

"What?" He said surprised.

I shook my head. "Never mind" I mumbled.

I took one of his pens and took the first hit.

I let it out as a wave of relief washed over me. As if every thought in my head suddenly disappeared.

"Put some music" i said. He pulled out his phone and immediately the first song was J. By Ivan Cornejo. My favorite song and he knew it.

I sang my heart out the entire song.

"Stop your gonna make my ears bleed mf"

"NO!" I yelled in between verse.

He laughed.

I pulled out my phone.

"Come here" I told Nick. He inched closer to me. I grabbed one of his vapes and I breathed in a puff. I had my phone filming horizontally. I let out a big puff of smoke and released it straight into Nick's open mouth. He swashed it around and let it out.

I stopped filming and saved the video to my camera roll.

I figured it was time to update this story😭😭

Um enjoy honey bunches I think I'll b updating this one a lot less than my other one but ill try to keep up the same pace
