~ALEXA'S POV~
Ashe and I were on our date, and as was expected, we were having a great time. We were making each other laugh, enjoying the food and drinks, and...of course...finding each other quite dreamy. We were both dressed casually, but even then, we would catch each other staring.
"So...tell me...how do you know Bray?" I asked him curiously, toying with my food a little bit before sticking the fork in my mouth. He hummed and didn't even have to think about it, just swallowing his sip and patting his mouth with a napkin before he spoke.
"Oh. Oh, that's easy. Bray showed up at the performance centre one day to help us out, and he's basically been my work dad ever since." He explained to me while I chewed through my food. I smiled at the little story, before giggling after swallowing.
"That sounds like Bray..." I told him with a smile, which made him laugh a bit. My smile widened at his laughter, loving the sound of it. He recovered within a few moments, and I closed my lips, continuing to smile while leaning forward, putting my elbows on the table and my chin on my hands.
"What about you? Did you and Bray talk much before the whole Fiend partnership?" He asked me, having a bit of his food as well once he finished his question. I hummed a little at that, like he did before. I looked up for a second, having to think back a few years for this one.
"Mmm...every now and then? We were never as close as we are now, not by a long shot, but he could always get a laugh out of me no matter how I was feeling." I explained to him, knowing every word of it was true. He hummed as well and swallowed his food too, before smirking.
"Yeah, that sounds like Bray." He repeated after me, which immediately made me bust out laughing. He looked me in the eyes and laughed as well. The two of us laughing together there was a really nice moment, which made my heart flutter.
Speaking of moments...when we stopped laughing, we made eye contact again and just...stared, smiling at one another. I could feel my heart beat faster with every second of contact my eyes made with those dark blues, and I could see his smile widening with every moment that passed.
After a few moments, he scooted a little closer and cleared his throat, putting both of his hands on the table near him and looking down at the cloth. I tilted my head at him, curious to what he was going to do, before looking up at me.
"...I'm...having a lot of fun with you..." He told me with a nervous little smile. I got nervous at that as well, not sure where this was going, but having an idea I didn't quite like. But instead of assuming, I decided to...continue with this.
"...Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun too." I told him with a nervous smile of my own, putting my hands on the table as well. We stared at one another for another second, our smiles becoming less nervous and more genuine.
He looked down for a second, before reaching over the table and grabbing the back of one of my hands, which helped alleviate my nerves and replace this with...excitement, almost, as I was waiting for what he actually wanted to say.
"So...I uh...I've...never asked this before, so...I'm just gonna come right out and ask..." He told me, running his fingers across my hand as he spoke. I scooted a little closer and flipped my hand, so now we were clasped together. He smiled a bit at that, before looking up into my eyes, again, nervously.
"...Uh...do...you want to be my...girlfriend?" he asked me, still really nervous about it, but letting a grin creep out onto his lips. Feeling my heart soaring, I let out a little laugh. I thought he would be offended at first, but he let one out too, which made me feel better about it.
"Y-Yes! Of course I will!" I told him, continuing to laugh in my delight. He let a massive goofy grin out as he hung his head a little, which made me giggle more, before he looked up at me one more time, clearly feeling the relief of the positive answer.
