It was a beautiful morning to those who were safe home and were able to wake up and see the new morning. People came out of their rooms, with the intention of doing various things they had in mind to do. Some of them were headed to work, others to bath, some of the children, to school while their mothers bath them. A lot of activities were going on right there in Ayinde's compound.

"Ha! Wake up. Why you dey run like that? Wetin dey pursue you?" Mama Dorcas asked as she saw the young man run in like he was being chased.

Panting heavily, he sat down on the long bench right behind him and prepared to release the news he had brought for them.

"I'm just coming from Baale street now and the news I heard there is not nice at all." Jide said, catching the interest of every other person there.

"What news?" Sumbi asked, very much interested and forgetting she had to be in school so early that morning.

"They said that fifty eight persons have been found missing this morning, since last night. They said no one had seen them, including children." He broke the news.

"Missing? So early this morning?" Mama Dorcas asked, finding it unbelievable.

"Yes, this morning. If you doubt me, you can go there." Jide said.

"Chaiii God. What happened? Did they go out or what?"

"I wonder so. When did we ever hear that anyone got missing in Lafenwa?" Mama Dorcas spilled.

"Heii!" They heard Papa Bayo scream and immediately, everyone turned their attention to  him. "Make una come see o. Jide no dey lie at all." He said, his eyes fixed on his phone. And soon enough, almost everyone gathered around him.

Halloween Gone Wrong

Just recently, news came in from various neighborhoods in Lag, Lafia precisely and it was realized that about a hundred and fifty people have been found missing since last night.

Mrs Udeani Ugochi, a witness and mother of Alice Udeani who happens to be one of the missing persons, said that her daughter had informed her about attending a Halloween party with her friends and since last night, she is nowhere to be found.

"Ewo!" Everyone exclaimed as they read from his phone.

"I talk am say this Halloween idea wey government bring no go work out. Things will definitely go wrong because some people go definitely over do." Baba Jamal said and everyone supported.

"These youths, they never know how to plan things without violence. Now look at how many people have gone missing in just one night." Mama Dorcas lamented.

"Erm, Sira," Baba Jamal called and she turned. "What of that your friend, Idinma, where she dey? We have not seen each other since last night o." He said.

"I also don't know. I've been searching for her." Sira said and he nodded his head slowly before shifting his attention elsewhere. Soon enough, everyone went back to their daily activities.

Watching how they talked and conversed about the outcome of things, she left them to themselves, and immediately went off to her room.
